I was fortunate to get a ride following the after-party ride giveaways. I was so impressed. I'm going to put more into Aptera! After validation & verification confirms performance, I'm going to start pumping as much into crowd funding as I can afford. To help them and to get in at the beginning of this phenomenonal vehicle's "to the moon" future.

Wow, that was a great ride along! This was the only ride I've seen so far that Chris pushed the throttle to 100%. Looked like the motor hit 70kW of power output. From your reaction it must have felt plenty quick. Just imagine though, that motor is capable of 150kW output! Hopefully the production vehicles call access all 150kWs!

Hi Jeff @theninjineer ! Thanks for all your continued enthusiasm and coverage and for sharing your ride experience in the Aptera PI-2 “Hermes” with all of us. I was at CES 2025 and Aptera’s CP-517 stand visiting from CT on Wednesday and Thursday and saw you while I was speaking to Audra… I meant to introduce myself and say hi, but then I couldn’t find you before I left to see some of the other exhibits. It was great to see the operational “Hermes” driving by on the streets and get a chance to see and sit in both the beautifully executed and completed PI-4 “Apollo” and instructional CPC “blow out” mockup. Great job by the entire Aptera design engineering and marketing team and to see the sustained excitement by the many visitors at the CP-517 stand throughout each day. There were also many visitors that made positive comments to me at the many events across CES 2025, when they saw me wearing my Aptera hat and shirt/sweatshirt! All around great exposure for Aptera and just a wonderful event for all! Thanks again for all that you have done to promote Aptera!

Great progress & dedication in getting the vehicles ready for CES. Did anyone see PI-4 actually run? I'm wondering where the money is to keep the lights on? Given the way Aptera is talking, it will be incredible if they make 100 in 2025 that go to customers. They need at least $2M a month to basically keep the lights on & realistically $5M if they are building and testing PI vehicles. Where's the money???
@tims860313 күн бұрын
The other one didn't have a battery in it. They said they have enough money to build some vehicles that will be delivered. I'm not sure about the number but I think it was 60. Later this year or early next year.
@ddessert613 күн бұрын
@tims8603 oh my, that is horribly disappointing. They had stated that they had the battery packs for the PIs. My experience has been, if you deliver incomplete products for huge events like CES that the funding disappears. I would never have dreamt of presenting a vehicle that didn't have production solar glass when you have a whole part of the business that makes solar glass panels. Also panels that don't fit & now a vehicle that doesn't operate. How did they have the lights & computer on all day? Plugged into an AC outlet? Progress was good but they needed to hit the ball out of the ballpark. Looks like they got it to the pitcher instead. :-(
@scottbennett482012 күн бұрын
@@ddessert6my understanding was "Hermes" and "Apollo" each have a tailored purpose. Where driving was required, production intent motor, battery etc. Where visual appeal was required, interior and exterior finish details. Why waste time & money at this stage to put things in place that don't meet an intended purpose. Is there still room to make more accurate production elements, yes. But they knocked it out of the park for each vehicles intended purpose!

Can you answer this question? Can you see 360° without moving your head? Meaning looking forward or dropping your eye down to the side monitors. Or is there a blindspot to the rear; where you must turn your head to the right and up to see rearward using the rear monitor screen?

If only LG energy give or buy apart of Aptera so they have the money they need to get Aptera into full production quickly! Lg has more then enough to help Aptera get into production . Win win for LG and Aptera.

Probably not usable while driving. They will come in handy when parked on the street and tuned off to check if cars or bikes are coming before you get out.

Aptera doesn't need a perfect product. If they make 10-20 vehicles and put them in customer hands, the customers will give great feedback. Ask the first Tesla owners if the Roadster was perfect. It wasn't, but it mostly worked. Design. Build. Sell. Improve.

How many watts does the air handler use? Max heating and max cooling
@josiahpaez460113 күн бұрын
I crunched some quick numbers from what we could see on the dash... The DCDC 13v loop increased about 80w when Chris flipped the switch. But I think that just represents the power draw of just the fan on max blower speed, no AC, no heater.

If someone's "impressed" by the solar panels generating 30+ watts under the shaded conditions shown in the video, he/she is ignorant about the capabilities of solar panels. I'd expect an average joe to be that ignorant but not an employee of a company trying to make solar assisted electric vehicle.
@GullWingInnMoclips13 күн бұрын
Actually that is quite good for a shaded panel of that size. I monitor my solar and can see one of my arrays (the 1800W one) from my living room and seeing similar wattage in full shade is pretty common.

Funny the sound in side in this video has a noticeable .. yet at the After Hours Event rides, watching the rides for the raffle winners … It was whisper quiet… I wonder if they persuade a pedestrian sound for Aptera even if not required for an auto cycle? I noticed that same thing! Very quite from outside. I also got a ride and it did whine more inside without much of the interior build out. But not as much as it seemed in the multiple video audios I've heard. I'm no audio expert, but I wonder if the microphones just picked it up a bit better?
