That was MoP "Throw Rogue". The level 90 "Shuriken Toss" had been reworked. If you hit an enemy more than 30yrs away, it did double dmg and replaced your autos with a shuriken of equal range. It also only cost 20 energy and granted a CP per cast. You'd sit in Narnia spamming throw until you needed to use a spender. Then run back to Narnia. The pressure was constant since target swapping cost you zero uptime thanks to being, effectively, a ranged dps. You had ALL the bonuses of a melee dps with short kick cooldowns and hilarious amounts of cc with none of the downsides that come with being melee. Dark days.

no addons is actually such an underrated thing man, having to coordinate and keep track of everything, was such an added level of awareness that just isnt relevant anymore, it just allowed for so much more skill expression.

Cata. Mop had too much cc. Mop became one button burst classes. Mop was the literal reason for one of the biggest purges and why they don’t make the same decisions with cc like they use to.

@@AMike75 what do you mean one button burst? every class puts all their cds on one macro since forever till today and people could one shot like they can today, mop had 75% passive resilience and battle fatigue, wasnt they best but definitely not the worst as you want to make it see. It waaaaay better than the crap wow pvp is today where everyone is running around with 50 debuffs and 80 buffs of random bullshit. Tell me an expansion where you dont die (100-0) in a full stun to 2 well geared players.
