I took an edgy walk round the old Blackpool Central Police👮‍♂️Station in the dark 👻

I take you on a rather tense walk around the site of the condemned former Blackpool Central Police Station site and car park at night. The brutalist style police station & magistrates courts were completed in 1976 and were designed by Lancashire County Council architect Roger Booth, who was also responsible for designing various other northern police stations in the same style.

Rather you than me in those dark areas lol. Certain areas of Blackpool especially the side streets can get quite spooky when the sun goes down, but there are other areas that arent so bad!. Great video, that's what the youths probably use the car park for to pop there exhausts lol

Loved it! You're very brave! It had everything, you couldnt have asked for more real effects if you'd planned it with the police helicopter, the bangs on the stairs and even that womans eerie cackling at the end! Very atmospheric and very entertaining, reminded me of a tough back streets of Vegas documentary with the backdrop of the tower and all the neon lights 👏👏👏 xx

Just found your channel & as we used to live in Cleveley’s now living in Lancaster & my hubby was brought up in Blackpool in fact he used to be the Manager of Blackpool Gas Showroom many years ago & his parents had a Guest House & then a Grocers, these videos are a walk down memory Lane My Son is now Head of Year in Maths at Armfield Academy his wife is a Sister at Blackpool Victoria Hospital 😊 And my Daughter was in Lancashire Constabulary & served out of Fleetwood & Poulton Thanks for some great videos

Just an after thought, but I wonder if you've thought of doing paranormal type videos in old abandoned hotels/hostels/ places in general? Great video and very interesting. I love your local history films. It would be great to get inside the courts and the cells, but obviously, that's not going to happen whilst it remains operational. I understand that the new courts are going to be situated at the site of the old Devonshire Road Hospital. (handy for the Probation Team!) 😊😊 Take care. I await your next film with anticipation.

Thanks, yes the courts are bound for that location, but it’s currently being used by the ambulance service so they will need it until the end of the year at least, whilst their new building goes up in South Shore.

,Great video , wouldn't go into that area to be honest , if those county courts are still in use , the facilities appear to be an absolute disgrace , how could you expect any justice in that environment .... Local Council need to do something about that eyesore. Looks like that place should be condemned, as for using that car park .... Lucky to return to an intact vehicle !

County court is for when local authorities take you to court,non payment of bills etc, magistrate's court is for like when you've been arrested, then released on bail to appear before a court at such n such a date,crown court is red robe n wig job, usually a jail term !
