I took first place with this UNKNOWN Digimon Deck! (Goldramon Deck Guide)

BT16 Beginning Observer has had a huge impact on the meta. However, there is one deck that got a major boost in this set, but it's had very little coverage. Originally from EX3 Draconic Roar, Goldramon is easily the surprise hit of the BT16/EX06 format and in todays video I cover everything about the deck. Matchups, deck profile, sample combos and more!

I really like goldramon as a digimon, and I really like the gameplay of this deck. Not only that, outside of some exceptions, it seems really cheap to build (and bt14 patamon seems useful, but not needed for the core gameplay), so I'll probably build it. Thanks a lot.

With only 8 lvl 4s that you really want for it's rush ess, bt14 patamon is actually harder to proc and profit off. It is much better to use any of the Renamons that refund u a memory for every 2 cost or more option activation and free draw with viximon baby along with 4 ex3 Angewo, 3 bt9 Angewo X and 1-2 Gatomon X as techs to get over Gatomon for the free evo into a rush Dragon ess being active. God Flame is also an underrated option that becomes even more crucial especially with Bt16 Goddramon X now. With proper combos being that u can literally minus 13-14k dp any digimon on the field with your God Flame and Dragon Breath's delay. Source: I have been playing Goddramon bt14 / Goddramon X bt16 in JP and have always tout it as one of the best budget decks that actually pack a punch with Dragon's Breath (good search and control delay). All it really needs now is just more lvl 4s or lvl 3s that give more rush ess to the Dragons.

No cap, good to see 4 Great Dragons being used. The X is for sure the missing link for the deck especially when using it with bt14 Goldramon. I do a 2-2 Split. 2 bt14 and 2 ex3.

Maybe i'll try the EX3 goldramon in the future, just not sure how I feel about playing more level 6's in the deck. I think BT14 does a good enough job to get game.

@VortexTCG it does, but the ex3 is giving a -6k DP drop and since X copies all effect your basically giving a -12k to one digimon or -6 to two different digimon

@VortexTCG I also do run the other 4 great dragons. Just pop a digimon or minus security to there board is nice. It's how I've beaten numemon and other go wide decks.

Awesome to see! I've been playing a trial focused version of the deck with a cody tk engine and it's fun but went 2-2 last locals so not that good 🙈

I haven’t play tested this yet but I’m super pumped to do so! I’m wondering if Azulongmon ace would be better to possibly get a fifth swing in and a little more control.

Good suggestion! I decided to not go for Azulong ACE due to it being "win more" in a lot of scenarios. If you have the ability to play another digimon from Trial, I think you'd rather go for another Goldramon where possible. EX3 Azulong is the one to play imo.

have you coonsidered using the renamon line? atleast the rookie that give you memory for options and the egg that draws? would definitely play well with more trainings.

I think Viximon would be a good egg to play if you change the deck to add in more cards like Trainings etc. Not sure how I feel about Renamon's, especially as they don't really search anything. The memory is nice, but don't think its enough.

I played with Cody&TK to play search patamons for free but you need to find it early for it to feel good. Also tempted to play red/yellow champions with the option that plays Gatomon for free and DNA to Silphymon. Probably too bricky tho, and the deck's Agumon is reptile so no GeoGreymon synergy.

I think that would be interesting to do but deck space is already quite difficult to budge imo. But definitely could be something to explore!

Why dont you play the aerovee? Is it just cus the angel trait has more easy search?

Angewomon has better search, plus the -3k matters in certain situations as an opponent might have a floodgate rookie stopping us from going into our main combo.

Would you maybe consider a Blitz Omnimon as a potential LV7 since all of your 6s are either Blue or Red?

Why magnaangemon over angewomon ace?

I've always prefered Magna over Angewomon ace due to it being more consistent for recovery, plus once you hit 0 sec its a dead ace. But I think you can play either and you'll be just fine.
