I went to my first Rammstein concert in Philadelphia, USA, last week- I was in the Feuerzone, I didn't know what to expect. I had only been to 2 concerts before, and they hadn't been too good. So this one was incredible, I'm so glad I brought earplugs. Not having any expectations and then being 10 meters from the stage of a Rammstein concert has completely changed my perspective on concerts, and now I want to go to more metal ones.

Great idea to take your mother with you! I watched Rammstein twice this summer and during both concerts, there was a healthy mix of young ( 10, 11 y/o) and old. There was even a guy holding a sign saying (in German): 'It's my 74 b/day today!' How great is that!? And the public in black shirts and leather jackets: polite, in a good mood etc. Better than we see in certain stadiums in Europe around soccer matches... And when we left the venue with 46K people, there was no shouting no running. Just people quietly talking, strolling along to the parking, bus etc. In the UK and Belgium, Rammstein did a special stage tour in the afternoon for people with visual impairment, in the Netherlands, there was a special stand for people in a wheelchair to enjoy the show. It shows that Rammstein is more than 'a lot of noise and light'.

Nowadays, they're much louder! Or do my memories fool me? Are there others here who can compare older concerts with today's shows? In Ostend, the venue was next to an older people's home(!) According to local newspapers, good marketing & proper communication from the Rammstein management secured that the older 'neighbours' enjoyed two evenings of Metal and were very positive about the 2 concerts.

I took my ex wife (she wasn’t ex at the time !) to see rammstein on the 2005 reise rise tour. She was dreading it , expecting a machine head/slipknot racket. She enjoyed it ! Ranmstein have always said they spend a lot on pyro/ visuals at their shows because they know most people don’t understand the lyrics ! Now they’re spending big money on their production but same principle applies, they go 100% for the visual spectacle, so even non metal fans are entertained
