You can try to hold the left stick to target someone, but it usually defaults to whoever is closest. The targeting with the LS is usually a bit tough but it can help

Thanks, very clear instructions especially you have D-pad things at the beginning for the beginner like me. This game’s HUD design is crazy, when I am controlling the player in the middle of the screen, how can I read the small menu on the left/right hand side? The only thing I can do is memorize all setting. Can you break down how to break down a defender? You teach us a lot of moves, but things happen so fast I rarely can see these queues you mention or am already in a dribble move that doesn’t allow me to use size up escapes or escape jumpers. Honestly I wish people used Eye trackers, but like I never know where to look. Because if I only look at my defender to see the subtleties, I miss the rest of the court. And I actually played irl, but since I can’t feel a dribble, I can’t really look away like irl

Do these settings work on simcast? I was playing my NBA eras and made it to the Finals. My team was D. Rose, Louis Williams, LeBron James, Serge Ibaka, and J.D Wesley against the Trailblazers with KD and Amar Stoudmaire. We started the series 2-0, but the Trailblazers went 4-3. I tried to change the defense and offense options on simcast, but it failed anyway... so these settings will work on simcast instead of playing.

I like hand off, because it will draw your target to you, which will help you out if you’re being defended well. I also like to use it as a creative way to get my guys going down hill or off of brush screens from the man with the ball!

You forgot to mention that you can cancel a pass by press triangle to pump fake. Another tidbit. On defense if you want to turn into the last defender “back”. You can press R1+L1+X 🤫

Is there a way to set cpu rotation setting to fatique and have it remain when you play the cpu. When playing against cpu in-game, you have to take control of the cpu team to change their roster rotation setting to fatigue. In doing so it disables all accumulated stats and milestons so they don't count for that game. How do you automatically set cpu to fatigue and have the setting remain when you actually play the cpu. Fatigue stays on effect for user controlled team but not the cpu.

Go to settings, then go to playvision display, instead of lite, go to "Full" and then turn on the setting for "All plays" so that your freelance will also get a diagram.

I’m more of a pass type control Vomitus! Full receiver control, while more flexible, isnt as smooth as I like. I also prefer to have more control of my ballhandler, and full receiver control can mess around with your movement as you are controlling the off ball guy

I think you can adapt your personnel to the playstyle, but a lot of the post action and high post entries rely on passing bigs. I think you can get away with it if you have Love on the floor with any of Mobley and Allen. But even if it's just Allen and Mobley, I think using the Warriors freleance should be fine!

21 delay is my favorite 5 out offense, but this means you have to be good at making reads and you have the right personnel for it. If you've got a good backcourt like the splash brothers, and a good passing big like Draymond/Jokic, this is a great offense.

Oh that's a tough one because the park and rec footage I see is mostly people not understanding spacing. But if you run with a good squad that knows how to space the floor and run basic actions, these moves can be helpful. I imagine this is more of a 5 man offense type of tutorial, but definitely still something you can pick up in terms of improvising in the Rec.
