Not being a boat owner, how long does the trolling motor work without power from the engine to hold the GPS spot?
@BamaSaltwater3 жыл бұрын
It all depends on the battery setup and wind/current. I have a 24v trolling motor, so I have two full size batteries that it runs off of. Normally I can get a few days use with it (about 8 hours of fishing) if the wind is not bad. But offshore can burn through some battery but I haven't lost power yet with this setup and I've sat a while in rough conditions. Just all depends on the setup!
@Ray56z2 жыл бұрын
Have the 36V , used 9 hours flat once and didn't run out of power. Low amp charge it was full load in 5 hours. You don't have your trolling setup connected to your outboard, you charge at home/slip. Most have another system for pumps and lights and the outboard on it's own. Outboard keeps it's system charged, and you never want to use it up and not be able to start. A dead outboard system is far worse than a dead car battery.

@michaelh75272 жыл бұрын
@@probiethetank8825 There was a guy on dauphin island late last year selling a 21ft Roballo center console with a 200 Yamaha. The motor had an issue with temp alarm only at full throttle on occasion. He wanted I believe 12k which I thought was ridiculous. He eventually dropped it down to I believe 5k just to make room for his new boat. I figured it was nothing more than just salt buildup from lack of flushing the motor. I had cash in hand and was not even going to mention the word negotiate. I just missed that deal 😂. I figured even if I dropped 4-5k into repairs and upgrades, it would be one hell of a boat

I hate to sound like a know it all but at 5:44 you put text on the screen that the Little Tunny you caught was also a known as a bonito and skipjack tuna. That's actually incorrect. The Little Tunny or Euthynnus alletteratus, is also called a False Albacore, while it is sometimes referred to as Bonito in some regions, the Bonito or Sarda Sarda is a separate species, but in the same family as the Little Tunny. The Skipjack Tuna or Katsuwonus pelamis is a cosmopolitan pelagic species. Part of the confusion in names comes from the fact that the Skipjack Tuna is sometimes referred to as the Oceanic Bonito, but a separate species from the Little Tunny nonetheless. The Skipjack tuna has a solid colored back with stripes on it's belly.
