Haha not really no. Spain is very close being on 2hrs away. I used to live in the UAE plus i run Pro-Ams there thats why i go a lot during the winter!

It’s usually gonna be better to hit another tee shot. You’ll be hitting your 4th shot on your approach, either way. But, a duck hook, or a slice, is gonna leave you at an awkward angle, bad lie, and further from the hole, after taking your drop.

@@2010LeeG I agree. I used this rule one time on my second shot into a par 5. The OB stakes were just left of the green. I took the drop, and added 2 strokes. Got up n down for bogey. Or, possibly the situation that you described, if an extra tee shot could potentially get you into more trouble.

FYI, on your 2 stroke drop on 1. You could have taken a much more favorable drop. I believe possibly on the fairway if it was within 25 yards of the OB line

@@andycartergolf oh for sure. Just thought it might have given a better opportunity at saving a stroke. In the video as it is edited I could not tell. I just mentioned as most people think it is 2 clubs from where it crosses. But being able to bring it straight sideways 25 yards no closer to the hole is a big advantage not to use sometimes. Great course by the way. Looks mint!

So after your opening lost tee shot out of bounds, you could’ve actually gone on the fairway, within 2 club lengths of the edge of the fairway no closer to the hole ! Great Rule for pace of play 👍 Cheers
