what was the reasons behind delaying the train ??

I'm not exactly sure why the train was late. It could be because of things like maintenance, bad weather, or other problems. It's common for trains to be delayed in Sri Lanka.

Most of the times it delays because of the signal issue . Its ony one railway to ella so its so busy line. If one tarin late it causes all tarins in the day.

True. However our train from Colombo to Kandy also got delayed because of a tree that fell on the tracks. So, it's not so uncommon for these delays to happen.
