Thryfe, my dude, I love that you genuinely love this game to the point you'd endure such an undertaking. That being said, I'd challenge you to make dual laser pistols viable. There are no other weapons I wish could be consistently competitive than dual laser pistols, but they're completely outclassed by dual laser rifles (small ones)

Laser pistols shred. You can use that VE-20B generator to up the damage even more. People are dead before they even realise they're low on AP.

i don't think you have to worry about them being outclassed. they have flexibility of burst damage or sustained high damage pressure. and they give you a lot of buuld freedom with how light and en efficient they are, letting you use them with the VE-20B with less drawbacks than otherbmore en intensive weapons are. are you sure you looked at the rate of fire correctly? they are more than double the laser rifle you're comparing them to with very similar damage already, that means they are almost twice the value. and that means more likely to land hits instead of an all or nothing. with the 130 or 150 generator, laser pistol out dps gatling gun not even including that en defense usually is lower making it even more. from personal experience they literally melt acs, it's important to avoid getting staggered first since they don't offer much stagger pressure themselves and are close range. it's all raw damage.

​​@@petercottantail7850This comment right here.....I have 5-6(!!) pistol builds all LW with 20-D a Laser orbit and a 4-6 pack missile on Alba frame or Nacht with the The Round(oval) Arqubus head with the antenna. IMHO, they out class the Small rifles. As for stagger punish? Add an orbit. They hit just as hard as the pistols. My laser gat build SHREDS (2 laser Pistols 2 laser orbits👌🏽)

Bro I have to admit that my favorite build lately has indeed been a reverse joint laser kite with moonlight and spilt missles. I get them super aggressive then bait into kicks and charged moonlights, so I suppose it’s more dynamic than just straight backpedaling LAMM (totally not copium) lol I feel like I’m at confession. Remimds me of a build I used back in Silent Line. Heavy laser EO core, gatling machine gun, left hand rifle, and ammo back parts with a horizontal fcs. Pure constant dps with some heat build up even without OP-I.

Those ARs actually have pretty decent DPS. I think the belief that kinetics MUST stagger to get their damage is shat leads people to underestimate their use. No, they'll never be Zimmerman level without some serious tuning, but they still work if you care to build for them. Oh, and Thryfe my boy, you'll never unlock the full potential of rifles unless you are willing to kite at least part of the time. You don't habe to go full rat level kiting, but you got go in and out as the situation dictates. But I know that you know that already 😉

Dude, the Scudder underpowered? I'd say underestimated! Scudder akimbo will actually eat chunks of AC before even staggering it. It's the laser of the cinetic weapons if you know what I mean.

@@crestfallenhussar895 Lmao. If you can stay on target they do have really good dps. They definitely need back weapon support to push them to the point of threatening a lot of builds though. Double ORBT worked the best for me as they make the acs strain stick. I think shao wei also works with these. Funnily enough turner plays nicer with the ransetsu but your acs strain suffers dramatically for the extra dps/consistency.
