Very nice review! I also did a view on active track on thick bush trails whilst mountain bike riding and had no major issues with it. It definitely moves faster through the trees on active track then mainly trying to fly it through. Great video 👍

Love the video. The obstacle avoidance thing though; reminds me of the funny aircraft engineers reports.. "Pilot report:autoland function not working. Engineer: autoland not installed on this aircraft" Obstacle avoidance is not available in sport mode, so was no suprise it didn't work! That said, still love the video. 👍

I already crashed my mini 3 once against a tree and it didn't suffer any damage aside from a denter rotor. Last week it got tangled on some phone lines and had a brutal crash against pavement where two rotors were broken but yet the main body was unscathed aside from a few joints popping out of place. This little drones are tough

This is hilarious. I know you did it for "science", but this is pure comedy (to a science guy). The obstacle avoidance tests are absolute gold....LOL Its like watching the three stooges. When that copter, took a back step and then flew directly into the tree, I almost had a heart attack from laughing. Someone somewhere should now know how not to fly that drone. LOL. Its so funny because we electronics and science guys know the capabilities of sensors. I was not expecting this. Good laugh. A bag of flour.....ha.ha.. I read that lifespan of dji is about 1-2 years, is this true? i dont understand on what part of the drone they thinking about... baterry, drone itself or somethings else.

It can survive much longer than that, batteries can be replaced if needed and there is alot of spare parts for repairs. I think you’re more likely to destroy it yourself than lose it over time

I'd bet money that at least one of the front arm hinge mounts (black plastic triangle, hidden out of sight) is now fractured. Thereafter, one fine, windless day within a few tens more hours of normal, gentle flight, one of those is gonna let go. The on board computer cannot do flappy bird mode, meaning the drone will death spiral into the ground (from 300 feet in my case! LOL) If that ground is concrete or sealed roading etc, you can expect very serious damage. Those front hinge mechanisms are ticking time bombs from the very first time they take even a light hit. They feel fine. They don't feel any weaker to the hands but small fractures are now growing with every flight. Otherwise, sure. My "tests" (crappy flying!) also agree with yours. ;-) Cool drone! Cool vid! 🙂

What I would like to see is how does it record now after those tests? That's were my problems happen. I've crashed 3 drones and each time they will fly but the camera is messed up on all 3 and not wrong filming anymore. Again they fly after crash but most the time the camera gimble is messed up and the vibrations make the filming bad and useless to .... don't crash it or you wouldn't be able to film because the gimble takes the biggest hit and that's why you fly it, to film. Let's see how it films now....

To answer your question, it still records fine. Probably because in sport mode it moves forward because of the speed, so it hit the upper part and not the camera.
