Yeah as a maplestory player for almost 18 years at this point, it's literally a casino targeted toward children and was banned in many places in the EU for legally being considered child-gambling.

This. Right here this. Nexon is terrible to their players. However maplestory is amazing. I would say as a 12 year long player, play the game at your own pace and don’t spend if you really don’t need to. Especially if you’re on reboot. Even on reg it’s not worth… RIP frenzy funding

You're really hard-pressed to find someone who plays this game that's under 20 since a lot of the playerbase are people who played the game when they were younger in the mid to late 2000s and come back for nostalgia reasons, and even then, the "casino" part doesn't really work either because the majority of the playerbase is condensed into reboot where the only "roulette wheel" you're really spinning is for cosmetic items. Things like CS:GO gambling sites are and were "casinos targeted towards children," Maplestory not so much.

As someone who worked at NEXON Korea a couple years back, I think the overall office aesthetics looks quite better in the states. Maybe it's because the redid their interiors recently? Idk. I wish we could get the display arms too, but they didn't give us that by default in korea. Well, the monitors were pretty good enough to have hinges out of the box, so it wasn't a big deal. The korean branch has pretty dope cafeteria btw. A cup of iced americano was less than a dollar. (1000KRW) And you don't have to pay by cash. You get free 'points' each month, which you can use to buy coffee or bread at the cafeteria. The bread they make was so good, I always emptied my points every month. Ahh good times. good times.
