Data is not even derived from a word in past, it is still from the past! In Latin, data is plural form of Datum and it should still be considered as a Latin word, so both examples you have provided are wrong, it should correctly pronounced as "Data".

I think the Samsung ring unfortunately is not developed enough to keep up with the Oura one, but hopefully more brands in that field will yield some faster developemental improvements.

@Meeix I'm all for a smart ring that I can use when I want to go into a really sorry place at work or maybe reads more health data than my watch - but I haven't found one yet. Plus I want a ring with another ring inside it to use as a fidget spinner since I have ADHD 😅
