Henry Cavill has gone on record saying he would rather not use his fortune to buy an army, because he believes putting in the effort to make an army is a part of the hobby. I imagine a lot of people are unaware of that, so I hope that people won't drag Henry if he declines, or force him into buying an army for charity's sake.

I don’t think Henry Cavill will do this. Not because he doesn’t like charity work but because it sets a precedent for public summoning and he’d get millions of requests to do stuff that he would have to turn down. It’s a lovely idea and I’d love to see it happen however.

Not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand charity is great and you are doing a lovely thing. On the other hand 40k is Henry’s hobby and this May open the floodgates and people won’t leave the guy alone. Might take the joy out of it for him. He isn’t something to be weaponised. I get that it's for charity and that's nice and all, but there are literally hundreds if not more channels who ask their viewers to more or less spam Henry with their requests/challenges etc. Just sell the custodes army at an auction or try and trade it for a warlord, (Midwinter minis is working on his warlord titan, maybe he would be interested?) and let the dude enjoy the process of collecting and painting his own freaking army.. Imagine the potential backlash from fans if Henry declines a trade for charity.

Gotta add my voice to the ones saying I don't think it was right to "sic the internet" on the guy. Contacting him through agents/publicists and getting him involved behind the scenes would have been a lot more difficult, for sure, and making it happen would be a HUGE boost to the amount of funds you're likely to raise, but it doesn't feel quite right to do it like this. Not full on EVIL, just sort of greasy.

Bunch of old school pals that falls head over heels into a fantastic universe and gets to be suitable various characters. Totally freaked out at first but ends up finishing the somewhat weird quest to get home. All but one who cannot go back because a healing potion he got won't work in our reality.... So it ends with one of them slowly cleaning off a 3d print of their lost friend and painting it to the adventurer he became. I would pay for that...
