Ex mechanic here. When we did clutches you’d always use a clutch alignment tool in the flywheel centre bearing then slide the clutch over the top, then bolt up. That way when you push the gearbox back on, the centre is perfectly aligned for the gearbox splines, making it much easier.

Interestingly, while the flags are still standing, they've likely been severely damaged by over 50 years of exposure to: - Intense UV radiation - Temperature extremes (ranging from about +250°F to -250°F) - Micrometeorite impacts - Solar radiation As a result, scientists believe the flags have likely been bleached completely white and may have significantly deteriorated from their original condition.
