Hello friends of the internet! Thanks for watching my journey! Just a small note from me- when I discuss the 4 disciplines of olympic skating around the 2:45 mark, I did originally explain Pairs Figure Skating but unfortunately had to remove the pairs explanation due to a copyright claim. Apologies for that and do know that I had every intention of covering pairs!

I skate at the same rink you trained in and I feel self conscious as heck sharing the ice with champions and future champions while being an adult skater learning very basic moves XD I still remember falling while just skating forwards in front of Todd Eldridge. I wanted to slink off in shame XD

Omg this is literally my dream😍 I actually plan on training like a competitive skater nest year once I turn 18 and can get a job to help pay for skating. (There are a lot of gyms near my rink and I'm taking fitness instructor classes to hopefully be able to work at one of them sdhjfskdj) This is actually really motivating since I'm just about to start working on my axel. My coach wants me to get my loop jump consistent first though. I really want to push myself to see what is possible to achieve as a kinda-adult skater (well I started at 16). Also, HOW DO YOU HAVE 343 - make that 344 - SUBCRIBERS??? THE EFFORT YOU'RE PUTTING INTO THIS IS MORE THAN A LOT OF 100K+ KZbinRS IF WE'RE BEING HONEST HERE

Ice skating is like the warmth in my life, its where I can relax, skate away all my thoughts and calm myself. I'm not a pro skater, I am very minimal aka can skate well maybe do the odd spin but no where near as good as a pro. When I was 10 I did ice skating for a year and got to grade 4. I stopped after a year cause it was getting too expensive. I re started my ice skating journey when I was 15 in 2019 I started from the bottom again and got up to grade 6 this time by December 2019. Unfortunately covid stopped that journey for me again. When I say ice skating is my life I really do mean that and don't come at me like 'well your not even a pro so whys that' well through covid if been having continuous dreams about ice skating, crying daily about how it's effecting my mental health not being able to do it every day. It really does just calm me and relax me. Oh how it would be a dream to do this challenge, getting me to improve more and just become better in general. im 16 almost 17 now and really hope this covid will be gone soon so I can continue my journey before it seems to late.

It’s just so expensive to do this for normal people. Like normally £20 per lesson. Chore, jumps, spin, dance.... gym... skating equipments.... ice time... travel..... outfits....

AH I totally agree, ever since I started skating I had to budget very very carefully. I would say that is one of the hardest things too because I would love to take more lessons but they are so so expensive. But I wish there are more initiatives to make the sport more accessible to people of all financial background sighs ):

I am a competitive figure skater. I have been skating since I was three years old (I'm 15 now), and I just wanted to say (yes, i know i am late) that your skating improvement is amazing! Most adult figure skaters make progress very slowly, but you made what most in a month could in a matter of a few days. Also, kind of funny, but it was really weird to watch this video because I competed at that rink two or three years ago. I decided to go back to group lessons as I get my bearings back, I had only skated for a year prior to covid and I had a lot of fear at the beginning but was progressing much faster before the lockdowns and was taking private lessons. We still aren't back to normal here and sessions are very limited so it's hard to practice. BUT I'm gonna work my butt off and try to get back to where I was and beyond!

I like you 🤣 I am "VERY old as shit" at 60 🤣🤣 Good luck😘.....this is a brutal, but beautiful sport - you will either fall in love or hate it. Remember to have fun, otherwise it can be awful😛

Thank you for the encouragement Vianca! And will definitely remember to have fun even if I fall on my butt sometimes (:

bruh i wanna start figure skating again i did it for a bit when i was younger then i stopped but now i’m in my teens and i want to start again but i’m incredibly ✨self conscious✨ lol
@cathydingg4 жыл бұрын
No!! Don't be! I'm sure you have so much potential. I was so self conscious because I always felt like my skating was so ugly lol but you just have to get out there and try! Nothing is perfect but I'm sure you have what it takes! Good luck

Know what sucks? I want to be a figure skater (women singles) but I can’t cause it’s to expensive and there isn’t much proper ice rinks around where I am. Also good job on being more flexible then me and doing an axel so quickly!

Ahhh, I wanna do this😩😩!!! Sign me up porfavor😇😇😇😇❗️❗️❗️❗️. I know it’s hard but I’ve always love watching figure skating so..... yep, this would take figure skating off my bucket list 😁

I make my own sound effects lol and I try not to fangirl when I see the USFSA skaters. I fail, but I try not to be awkward about it lol

This is so awesome! I love this😇😇 I would love to get yelled out by an Olympian . Weird question but because you were being trained did you have to pay to skate or was it free?
@cathydingg4 жыл бұрын
Hey! Not a weird question at all but I did have to pay so this project was a personal investment for sure!
