I Transformed My M140i Into A CAMPER!

I have teamed up with Tentbox to transform my M140i into a camper!! To test it out for the first time, myself and Chloe venture down to Devon...in a storm! All in all, it was a fantastic weekend (except the weather), and I'm thoroughly looking forward to more adventures in due course.

How much does the tent weigh? Because the bmw 1 series can only have arround 165lbs on the roof. Or else it can damage the racks or the frame itself of the car. I do have a 1 series and thinking to do this myself. But im worried about the weight

We used to rent a caravan at Heachem beach in the 60s out near the Wash/Spalding way. Drove in an old Morris from 1959 with arrows for indicators and no seat belts! Good times remembered the beach/donkey rides. Hot dogs. Cockles and winkles. Some rain. Yours was more modern. Cheers.

On public roads (without thrashing it at 10/10ths), did you notice a change in handling (higher centre of gravity)? Would be curious to find out how much of an affect it has on fuel economy too;

I already had my tent in the garage waiting for it’s first outing when that video went live. I have had the tent for months as I had to change my plans for the NC500 in August due to Covid. Not sure about handling it fuel economy, when I use it more I will make a video

Once you are sleeping inside this it must be over the recommended load that you can apply to the roof of your car? Normally this is between 75-125kgs Max load🤷‍♂️

Bro the rooftop tents do install on the roof racks not on the roof directly so you can install them on any regular car.

Lol looks better on a 5 series touring - sits more nicely on the roof! This looks a bit big for the car tbh 🙈 and I’m guessing like my 3 series msport touring, yours already has quite a low and firm sport suspension? Cause the arches are riding so low over your wheels with that added weight lol... these roof-top box tents are so cool 👍 always wanted a defender 90 with one of those pop-up roof tents which one can enter from inside the vehicle - but prices of defenders being as they are, realistically I need to look at alternatives... thought about the Audi Q range with custom attachable Audi tents but I’m a Beamer guy nowadays... so this may be the new ‘dream’.... top video dude! 👍

This is the second video I've seen where it's been on dodgy puddle ridden roads, I'd always heard that puddles can kill BMW's due to the location of the air intake, is this true? If so I'm worried for your M140i. Love the car love the channel, worried for the car.

I see a lot of negative comments on your posts and it’s pretty disheartening. You’re doing great man, that was a really cool vid and I’m absolutely loving your M140i content. If people don’t like the mods you’re doing then it’s a good thing it’s not their car. Experiment, test the waters and see what you like and what you don’t. There will always be people who will try to put people down. It’s a shame that the tent is absolutely extortionate, otherwise this would’ve been a great advert for it!

Here in Canada the cheapest hotel is 300$+ a night so I think it's worth the investment if you enjoy traveling and visiting places plus it looks cool and people are really impressed that I have a 2people hotel on my car😂😊😎🤪🍻 buddy enjoy end screw the haters I think it's more jealousy if you ask me!😅😉
