Good to watch a new series! As for the units in the screen: O2 ppq = parts per quintillion, pressure ųPa= micronpascal, nPa=nanoPascal. Can't wait to see some more episodes on this series. Hope you still go back to Icarus, it's my favourite!

That weird “u” stands for micro. We use the measurement in electricity and magnetism all the time.

This is going to be an amazing series! Thanks for saying it on the channel. PRO Tip: I'm sure you will figure this out on your own but, build "outposts" to quickly refill oxygen while out exploring.

This is one of my favorite games. I've played through four times. I'm so glad you're doing a series on it! I love your Icarus videos and I'm super excited to watch these. I don't want to spoil anything for you but my advice would be to be patient. The beginning is a painful grind but they reward you for it later. It gets much easier as you progress. I hope you enjoy it.

Tip: you need the exoskeleton so you can plug in more equipment to your suit... like the oxygen tank, which will allow you to travel further and further with each upgrade. Also, solar doesn't care if it's night or not nor what direction they face. Have fun. 😁

hey, playing planet crafter too, make the exo skelet, so you get more spots for your chips, oxygen tanks, backpack and so on, and when you go to the destroyed ship, build a "house" there, so you can run out for oxygen and put some chests there too, so you get more storage

This looks like an interesting game. I haven't heard too much about it prior to this, so I'm pretty excited to see how this goes. Awesome first episode. I would suggest putting down a living quarters by the ship you're trying to explore next time you go up there. That way you dont have to go as far to refill your o2.

look through, blue prints "food grower" is listed... iriidium can be found in decent quantity where the "sand falls" are... as for building, look for the "A" rock formation, and build other side of it, as mentioned, where you currently are... will be underwater at some point 🙂 also consider, when planning a "road trip" take 3 iron 2 titanium, and 1 silicon with you, and you can build another compartment where/as needed

In this game, Oxygen is life. Always bring 321(3 iron, 2 titanium, 1 Silicon) to build a shelter. In survival games, study everything.

Just a tip don't build down in the bottom. Rather build on a hill. And keep the oxygen tank in your tools slot.

you likely won't need this for a minute but holding ctrl while building will allow you to chain your building instead of going into the build menu everytime

The "μ" means "micro" or 10e-6 or 10 to the -6 or 0.00001. Don't fret about the meaning of the measurements, the developers didn't understand them either. Heat is measured in "Kelvin"; pressure is measured in Pascal units; oxygen in the game is measured in parts-per-unit number (measured in % in RL). The unit names are real but the notation values and numbers on the display are basically nonsense. Just keep the numbers increasing. The faster they increase the quicker you level up. You will cause it to rain eventually, but fairly soon in the game's timeframe. Consider what that implies relative to the terrain around your base. Don't put off your suit upgrades and plug-ins. Craft and equip every one of them as soon as the are available. The ability to plug more into your suit comes with one of the upgrades you can craft right now. Like Subnautica, you MUST explore further and further out to advance. Figure out a way to extend your range - there are several solutions.

Exploring further out is not a priority in the beginning, no must about it, the only priority in the beginning is building a base in an elevated position, and build everything you can, to get the Ti ticking up, then you can explore a little further out, but still within sight of your base. Exploring too far at the beginning can lock the loot chests to beginner level, as their level is set as you get near them, so avoid all but the nearby chests. Save exploring until you have built everything that you can, preferably multiples, and you have advanced along the tech tree a little. Carry 3 iron, 2 titanium, 1 silicon, to place a one room base that you can retreat to when your oxygen gets low. Apart from the first wreck near your start location, avoid the crashed ships to increase the chances that they will have better loot in them, later, once you have a much bigger inventory and oxygen tank. To reiterate, this is not Subnautica where you can find really good loot exploring wrecks in the beginning, the loot in Planet Crafter is dependent on the Ti level, and how close you get to the chests, so stay as far from the wrecks as possible, until you have the equipment to explore them more thoroughly, which you will only have when you progress the Terraformation index level.

@@wolfen210959 The tendency of someone new to the game in their first play through is to limit their excursions for quite some time to a single tank of air. In the "regular" game, that limitation delays heaters for quite a while. For some it takes a while to catch on to taking several O2 refills and even longer to come up with the "oxygen kit" you describe. Some don't think about it at all and I wasn't going to describe it to see how long it would take before BlondDon would come up with the solution. Venturing out early is not so much about looting wrecks, but more about learning the map and discovering the cave locations before you need their resources.
