Because, if you've ever tried to live with just TWO in the same house, at the same time, you KNOW that there's only a few weeks, maybe a month-or-two, until they are plotting ways to do-each-other-in...whether it's just to play 'keep away' from the other, or just refusal to share with the other. Long term, you lose them all and gain TWO (or more) very knowledgeable enemies...and a sudden need to relocate to a new state. The real-world ending to this story is, 'and as they put Jack's body in the ground in the backyard, they all shook hands and photocopied his cookbook for their own return home.' NOW THERE'S A REAL ENDING!

Through out history men has had more then one wife some men had 1000 wife's. This could easy the burden of just what was placed on one wife. One like to do laundry one likes to clean one likes to cook. If one is not feeling good on sex day she could trade days and send a different wife everybody wins.
