The waterlogged ball reminds me of the schoolboy days in pitches that look more like a bog. The cheaper balls get completely soaked and weigh quite a bit more as the game wears on. You put your foot through one of those, absolutely hammers it on target, you can see the fear in the the keeper's eyes. Any sane bloke would get out of the way.
