We were 3 people, and one of the passes was booked for a day later, we came back, told them, they first were like "no no no this isnt our problem", we told them "why the hell would we book one pass at a later date and have 2 passes for today, we are 3 people", I didn't believe myself but they accepted it silently without much argument. Regardless, yeah. I hope not all of France is like that but my German friends always say they're expected to be rude 😂

re. first place in Romania: I feel like some of the negative reviews might have just been ignorant to the fact that _en-suite_ is *not* an assumption in many old-world cities. You just have to make sure to specify/ask, if that is a requirement. Travelers willing to forego it can save some money, and it can be a nice middle ground between a hostel and a much more expensive hotel. $25 for a clean bed and privacy is a bargain on most continents. I have stayed at a budget hotel in Paris that lacked prime location, polite staff, and where fresh sheets were apparently by request-and it cost much more. So I would agree with Simon that this place seems like a great deal!

A lot of fairly decent places have bad reviews because of the simple fact that people mostly tend to leave reviews only if they had a bad experience, and a lot of people can sometimes be entitled or aggressive to the staff and when they don't get their way or one little thing is not as they expected, so they leave bad reviews

@@Aaa2233-b8k No, it's not common. By the way, do you have any idea what Balkan means? The Balkans officially begin south of Romania, with the Danube River marking the natural boundary between the Balkan Peninsula and the rest of the continent.

It’s because you’re so friendly and polite - if you put positive energy out then you get it back xx obviously the people who write bad reviews have a horrible time because they go in with bad energy and that’s what they receive back xx

This is the first video I'm watching of yours but the moment you said 'such friendly people', I immediately shouted 'it's because YOU are so friendly'. I am a true socially anxious introvert, but meeting someone like you would really make my day (and exhaust me for the rest of the day, but definitely worth it!). Thank you for your amazing attitude!
