I Tried 100 PS1/PSX Games on the Miyoo Mini V2

This mini device is super tiny, but it gets the job done! I tested 100 games and only a few of them were not playable. Miyoo Mini V2 comes with built-in emulators and A LOT of ROMs (although only a handful of PS1/PSX). I used the default settings for this test, did not switch to Onion OS, and did no tweaks to the emulation settings. This is done on purpose to test how accessible Miyoo Mini V2 actually is for the average player.

I noticed most games are from the PAL region (so they're running at lower frame rates due to 50hz) Does Miyoo struggle much with NTSC games?

It really doesn't make that much difference. The number that says 50 fps or 60 fps on screen is actually the refresh rate and not the current fps of the game. That is the number to the left for example he uses the NTSC version of Metal Gear Solid but the game actually runs at 30 fps which you can see to the left of the 60 fps. This is the same on the Duck Station emulator I use on PC MGS runs at 30 fps. There games on the PSX like Shadowman that run at like 15 fps even on a desktop PC. That's just the speed it ran at even on the PSX hardware. That's why a lot of PSX games feel clunky in general. A lot of the 3D games run at 20 to 30 fps. Games like Silent Hill run at 25 fps in PAL regions and 30 fps in NTSC. I can confirm that Silent Hill runs at 30 fps on the Miyoo Mini Plus on Stock OS when using an NTSC version of the game.

My bad! It's probably because I wasn't sure where to put them at first. It's definitley super smooth if you turn frame skip on, and playable with a few stutters without frame skip!

As a rule of thumb I usually opt for the European PAL Roms as they are said to have better emulation peformance, unless they are not available. But some of these are also NTSC.

3 hours to set up and find the ROMs. 5 minutes to test and shoot each game X 100 games. 2 hours to donwnload the covers and prepare the printouts. And probably 4 hours to edit and render the vid. Yeah i would say that took half of my soul lol
