Unfort this video is pretty outdated with omissions from: Odin 2, Ayaneo Micro, RG 35XX SP, 40XX V/H, CUBE/XX, 406V/H, Retroid Mini/5. Those are HUGE handhelds in the space for this year, and leaving them out at the end of the year doesn't represent the space for old/new ppl in this hobby. Still, an interesting watch and respect your opinions but feels like a video made in 2023 instead of 2024.

My guess is that they chose this screen because its a smartwatch screen they could buy for cheap. Basically they put smartwatch components into a console. If thats the reason then I can't be too mad, companies like Anbernic don't sell by the millions so making custom screens is out of their reach.

No 35XX H and 35XX SP, two considered to be the best releases of Anbernic since they found success with the H700 shipset? I do notice the bias towards vertical handhelds though. That i respect.

So, think about a Flash Cart DS Lite, Modded PSP Brite, or a Hacked new3DS, or a Jailbroken PS Vita Slim, or an Unlocked NSwitch Lite. Then think about which retro handhelds have finally closed the gap, or surpassed the above devices.

My Anbernic RG35xx just stopped working one day after setting it down for a few minutes. Idk if it warmed up too much or it tried to waiting mode n died.

i would never place a vertical as my masterpiece, im deffo a horizontal landscape guy! hypothetically i dont yet have a masterpiece device yet.... it would be something like the X55, RG556 but better ergonomics and more powerful... i guess the RG556 is almost there but again just a me thing i dont like asymmetrical controls! X55 and RG556 both have asymmetrical controls

Wow lack of Powkiddys!!!? I have the RK2023 which is around the same as the RG353PS looks like the PSPGo ive the All Matte Black version and i think its up there with the RG353PS, The RG353PS edges it in the feeling of the buttons, it feels better in terms of materials BUT not saying the RK is bad quality just different! Also the RGB10Max 2!!! My first retro actually my first Retro was the JXD S7800B!!! RGB10Max 2 is awesome! Is perfect!!! Which the X55 and the Max3 is the sequel to!!! This chart show theres no love for Powkiddys... i know there are Powkiddy haters out there! But I guarantee the RGB10Max 2 is awesome along with the RK2023 and the X55 i will get the X55 a little later as I also have the Trimui Smart Pro on the way... Also have my eye on the GKD Bubble which I suspect will be similar too the RG353PS and RK2023.... It has the same size screen and i think the same chipset but different formfactor... its the GameGear nostalgia factor all of these devices get me with!!! Also lack of the cheap with tons of personality devices XDDDD I have the SF2000 and the M17!!!!... Both are my sort of tinker devices! The SF2000 gets tons of praise! its £10 the M17 doesnt come near the SF2000 My Powkiddy RGB10Max 2 is probably my best device as it out of the box doesnt need to be tinkered with... after that its the RG353PS and RK2023... and i have the Miyoo Mini Plus and the RG35XX Plus! im more a horizontal device guy! Out of the box RGB10Max 2 is perfect along with the RG353PS... i think these depend on the vendor you get it from... On my Miyoo Mini Plus and RG35XX Plus the cards that shipped with them had stuff all over the place! and repeat roms etc thats why the SF2000 gets love as well for such an affordable throwaway device, it gets the roms right and theres no complexity to it.... its not the perfect device but its a great entry level introduction to the scene!
