Can you imagine how much planning and organizing this took to be able to know when she could cut her hair as needed over 500 years and which parts she needed longer and the in between? Then putting it all together, and editing.. that's insanely dedicated and amazing. I've never seen a video like this.

I have a weird take away from this video, the way you didn't mention the mod movement in the sixties being almost the first androgynous style. I feel like it was an important moment in the History of fashion and find it really weird the focus was on longer hair cuts, it's not like they were just more popular because the mod movement genuinely thrived through all the 60s,70s and eighties and then to make an amazing strong style comeback in the 90s due to British bands like blur

I am SO impressed by the research, planning, editing, sheer work, and dedication that went into this video! I must also admit to a slight bit of jealousy that she looks so good in every hairstyle! Even the buzz cut. Morgan, may you enjoy the freedom of the lack of hair, and if you decide to grow it back out, try not feel too crazy hating it in the interim as I always do. (Of course, you thankfully didn't do those unfortunate 70s hairstyles, the pixie and the short shag, very sensible of you. IIRC she literally only stopped doing it when her hot roller set died 😂 Also as soon as 1990s you came on I was like "hey, Monica Lewinsky!" Amazing how these things get burned into our memory, especially when we're kids. Anyway! Still loving this video and I think it should be used for reference for decades to come ❤

Cutting off all that length, in different ways, then going in for the full chop + a buzz cut at the end? Mad RESPECT. You're gorgeous! From someone who lost her locks last year, due to chemo but is now enjoying a pixie cut as it grows back in, your vid is awesome! It also reminded me of all the fun ways we can add hair (wigs, extentions, etc) or just decoration. I have been enjoying my collection of fun 90s era scarfs and beaded headbands again. The beaded headbands are also a partial throwback to the 1920s-30s. I think at this junction, humans have done just about everything we can possibly do with our hair. The current trend of playing with bright faux colors is what will really stick in my memory for the early 2020's. Cheers! 💟

While I've never had hair quite as long as her, I've definitely gone from bra strap length hair to a short pixie cut a couple of times in my life. Usually when you get to that point, you're just done with messing with the long hair and are excited to get rid of it lol. My hairdressers were usually more nervous than I was hahahaha. I will say the worst part is the growing out process. Soooo many awkward in between lengths to get through. I'm lucky that my hair grows incredibly fast, so chopping it all off is never that big of a deal to me.

My hair grows fast as well and have had several long periods where maintaining a short style wasn't feasible.....and then you go in and tell them to cut it all off.....oh, and I want a side shave too....oh, and lets start bleaching it out so it can be purple~......and they just stare with that nervous smile asking, "Oh, are....you super sure?" like five times.... I don't envy them their jobs. I assume most of them are a bit gun shy from having screaming diva meltdowns when they have to snip a few inches off of their crazy client's heat damaged hair and 'butcher' them.... Honestly, girls. Yes! I was freaking out! But not for me; as far as I'm concerned, it's just hair, it grows. But I know how people with long hair typically are about it, so it was very surprising to see how blasé she was about it. Good for her. Personally, I just love having short hair now for at least the last decade. The shorter the better!

Right?! Not so much refreshing for me as it was just astounding. I was so ready for at least one brief bit of crying but she was completely mentally prepared by the looks of it. I think she may have mentioned in one other video that she cuts her own hair regularly so that's probably how she was so calm, if I'm remembering that correctly.

Professional hairdresser here, I love your commitment to all that hair getting cut off. The light patches in your hair that you talked about is duotrichochromia (duo= 2, trich= hair/scalp, chroma= colour, meaning 2 hair colours) it is a fairly uncommon mutation but ultimately nothing to worry about besides maybe personal taste. It doesn't make you bald faster or get grey hair faster, it's simply just a patch (or few) of different hair colours. There is a form of duotrichochromia however that is more common in men and that is facial duotrichochromia, where the moustache and the beard are differently coloured, usually the moustache can be lighter than the rest of the facial hair.
