Well for me KZbin have always been about real people making "not perfect" films/videos about things they love. That's what have attracted me. Iv'e stopped watching creators that suddenly got a lot of attention and started to get really professional. They are so busy with perfection that they forget about the content. Relatable is important to me :) Sorry for the bad English, I'm from Sweden :)

Matthew Wilson I agree, except for this, it is easier to cut the butt off it than use this, it takes a bit of effort. i dropped using mine. May use it if I want single leaves of sprouts or if I want to steam them (but after realizing how yummy they are fried, not sure I will ever steam again)... It is better than using a pointy knife to get in there with painful joints or something like that, that is for sure!

I finally found somthing thats made me happy I said NO im not gonna be the 84% that hate there job Im going to be the 16% that love there job Im going to be an outdoor education instructor because I love being outdoors it help with mental health also without phones its so nice just to comunicate face to face and I want to teach kids they dont need phones or to follow everyone else to be happy :) barry your channels so amazing and inspireing your the guy thats helped stop me from taking my own life with your amazing elvis egg and mini kitchen skills barshens and also another youtuber nic hills :) sorry for my spelling at 21 I dont give two hoots :p

Since I discovered fried brussel sprouts, I have become a huge lover. It is amazing how that little cabbage transforms into a delicassy when you pan fry and caramelize it (let it become brown!). It gets this fantastic, nutty flavor! Needs no seasoning, just a little bit salt and if you want, a tiny amount of maple syrup to finish it off. I love mine with strips of onion and finished off with spinach (to make it even more healthy) and (in my case, vegan-) bacon! Give me a plate of that, and I am in heaven! My comfort food #1! I wouldn't have believed it, had someone told me 10 years ago... ☺️ Anyways, I of course ordered one of these, but I have found it to be too much work. i just cut off a little and for frying I either cut each in 2 or 4, depending on size and time/patience... 😊

Welcome Back Barry!!!!!! I was just talking to the wife yesterday and telling her I was missing your gadget videos. As for this gadget making a mess, as referred to in the review, if you properly trim and clean your sprouts of under developed or nasty yellow leaves as sometimes happens with them you will have a mess. Very good gadget and review keep up the good work.

To be honest, chopping off the extra stumpy bit with a knife (also helps peel off any blemished outer leaves), cutting them in half and steaming produces best results in my experience. They become tender without getting all watery. Also sprinkle with turmeric before steaming, adds a bit of flavor and helps suppress the "leafy green" stench :)

If you pull apart the mini cabbages into leaves, then toss them in some oil and salt, then roast until they're browned... amazing. Even my boyfriend likes them that way, and he hates sprouts.
@ParadoxicalIntention6 жыл бұрын
One of my favorite ways to cook sprouts, incidentally, is to roast them in the oven with walnuts with a little drizzle of oil and maple syrup. The syrup helps to cut the bitterness of the sprouts that many people don't like. I also sometimes cook them with bacon and butter in a pan, and have heard you can also make coleslaw out of it, since it is related to the cabbage (but I haven't tried this myself). Also, hi, I'm from the US and I love sprouts. :D

For non-food gadgets, you should get an otamatone. You and your kids would love it. It's basically this big music note shaped thing with a face, and when you squeeze it, the mouth opens and it plays a note that you can then adjust along the shaft to change to tone. Makes for an interesting musical instrument. Look it up here on KZbin to see people playing it. Comes in three sizes, the normal size, one fit for a key chain, and one really big one, plus a variety of colors. It would be the perfect toy/gadget/musical instrument for you and your girls to play and "test" on video. I know your girls love music and cute things, so you'd better have one for each of them. :D
