Theres a device that was discovered at the University of Waterloo (Waterloo Ontario Canada) of a watch that detects your blood glucose without wearing a sensor. Its in testing phase at the main moment. Its very exciting!

This channel has seriously helped me both mentally and physically, I was diagnosed at 12 and am now 20 and i struggle with really bad anxiety, like sometimes i feel like it’s too late. The past week i have seriously began to take control of my t1 diabetes, so far I have no complications but I severely struggle with the fear of getting them. I just hope that as long as i keep my a1c below 7 or even 6, that I avoid them at all cost. But i really wanna thank you for making these videos they have helped me tremendously and many others clearly

To be honest this is not a CGM watch it is a traditional CGM with a proprietary watch display that some people won't like compared to a full featured iWatch or Pixel watch. Also this watch is price way more that a typical decent Chinese smartwatch on Amazon. I also saw the cost of the sensors and they are similar in price to Dexcom and Libre but not covered by insurances yet. For a Chinese company that wants to break into this market they need to price the sensors at least HALF the cost of those other sensors as it doesn't have the features, proven reliability, and support of those other brands. Do this and I could see people taking the risk to try it out.

The Dexcom G7 can also send readings direct to your watch - at least with my Apple Watch Ultra 2. My only complaint is that it doesn’t pair with two separate watches, and you have to turn that feature off if you switch back and forth between two different watches, like I do.

Hi always watch you, am a type 2 diabetic. Last visit to the nurse, she suggested that I should go on to insulin. I said no let’s try something else. So we looked at diet, I do not eat meat or use sugar. But what I did do is look at the fruit and vegetables that I ate like parsnip I no longer eat them white bread now we only have whole grain bread stoped eating grapes 🍇 oranges. I have a list of what not to eat or have in moderation. When I went to see my doctor on my medication review, my sugar levels had dropped and also cholesterol.

The major problem is that most Insulin pumps do not interact with a sensor from a different company. I use a Medtronic 780 pump with a Guardian 4 sensor, this enables a function called smart guard, the smart guard is a game changer as it pre acts by giving small amounts of insulin to counter a high. No other system does this, which is why I am still with this system despite it also having its own problems.
@TypeOneTalks2 ай бұрын
I completely agree. If you're on a pump and want to use AID you need CGM integration. This system is a better fir for MDI users. Btw, I've been off pump for several weeks now and it's been an interesting experiment for me. Trying out something different. Thanks for watching and wishing you all the best!

Why don't they just make a CGM that can integrate with already existing smart watches? This proprietary "smart" watch is only useful if you like it and don't already have another watch (like Garmin, Apple, etc) I would like to see Medtronic and other CGMs integrate their sensor with more and more smartwatches like Garmin did with Dexcom

Here's a novel idea... How about Abbott, the huge company that it is, just makes the sensor info available directly to the watch. Even directly from the phone app to the watch would be a start without having to use 3rd party intermediary apps. Also, 75% of the world uses Android so don't just focus on Apple fanboys. And Abbott, while you're at it, PLEASE give us an option to mute or lower that disastrously loud 3 beep alarm you insist on having us hear (on top of the alarm sounds we already have set) - it's completely unnecessary! It's the #1 complaint from your customers. Fix it PLEASE.

@robertPharry7772 ай бұрын
@@hoosierpioneer no disrespect to you and thanks for the information. However even though I am a severe diabetic (under control) with taking two insulins usually twice a day, I see no reason to see my blood sugar every 5 minutes. I test 3 times a day almost all the time. One of the biggest problems with these systems to is like the guy says they're not all perfect in the actual blood sugar readings. Plus most insurance do not cover these at all. One thing I could say with this system is if you are working or out and about daily and have to eat outside of your home this might be a good system because it's very hard to control the food you get from sit down restaurants and especially fast food.

FAKE Video - This isn't non-invasive at all, you still need the Sensor needle put into your arm like a Libre Sensor. In fact it's no different from a Libre sensor and App on your Smart Phone, while this one uses a Watch Type One Talks clearly takes his sponsorship payments over being honest with the viewers. Why even mention non-invasive to start with, Type One Talks is turning into Type One ClickBaits. Come back when you have a REAL CGM watch that measures Sugar levels without any invasive attachments. Shame on you.
@TypeOneTalks2 ай бұрын
Thanks for your feedback my friend. Nowhere in the title or thumbnail does it say that this is a non-invasive glucose monitor. In fact, in the intro I clarify on that as well. The difference to Freestyle Libre is that this system provides direct to watch connection. I’m not saying Libre is a bad system, but it does not have a watch app nor the direct to watch feature.

Thanks for your feedback! I’m curious. Why do you find this to be a “click bait”?

@@TypeOneTalks Because it's not a CGM watch. It's a watch that receives information from a CGM. And yes, this is something that Libre and Dexcom etc should do natively, but that still doesn't make this a CGM watch.
@TypeOneTalks2 ай бұрын
@@namenloss I see your point. That’s why I showed the sensor in the thumbnail to avoid this confusion but I guess it might not have been enough of a hint. Libre does not do direct to watch at all and Dexcom only with Apple (one of the latest versions of Apple Watch and iPhone). So they don’t really do it for 90% of CGM users. That’s why I find this watch unique.
