I feel you my Pokemon journey began in 1998 with Pokemon Red. I've played every generation since then, also Mystery Dungeon, Stadium, the TCG game for the gameboy, ranger, the TCG and I have to say to me the Gen 3 and Gen 4 remakes are the best games in the mainline together with Emerald. HG/SS will always be in my heart as I bought both of them togehter with a DSi from my first self earned money in 2010 when I turned 18 years old. Such beautiful games. The Gen 6 remakes of Hoenn are awesome too It's been freaking 26 years since I've started Pokemon and it's always been a part of my life. I remember getting my first Yellow, Gold, Crystal, Sapphire, LeafGreen and Emerald like it's been yesterday. The franchise has it flaws, definitely since Gen 6 but I wouldn't want it any other way. I got dozens of plushies, cards, consoles, cartrigdes and Im just grateful for it and the nowadays content creators like you which make these games more enjoyable with nuzlockes, competitive, speedruns, shinyhunting and so on

By speed running the power plant quest, you can unlock all of Kanto by only fighting 2-3 trainers, meaning you can first hit Mt. Moon for the rival fight and then Janine to keep level caps
