I would totally pay $20 each pasta if the pasta was homemade and sauce was also homemade with years of secret research behind it to perfect it.. On the flipside you can buy a jar of very much OK pasta sauce and a pack of pasta and feed the family for $20
@RecklessTheory2 жыл бұрын
You can feed a family for $10, even high quality dried pasta is only like $3 a lb and high end sauce is like $7-10 a Jar. If you want to add beef or anything though it will be around $20. If you want really good Bolognese for cheap all you need is 1lb of ground beef, 4 oz of Pancetta, a squeeze of anchovy paste or dash of fish sauce and a jar of high quality sauce (that lists carrots, celery and onion in the ingredients or add your own)
@kittenmimi53262 жыл бұрын
Umm more like half the price for entire family And some pasta recipe's don't even need sauce that shits crap and overpriced sometimes, like jarred carbonara sauce is a lie, carbonara dont need sauce
@RecklessTheory2 жыл бұрын
@@kittenmimi5326 I can't stand cream based carbonara. Most restaurants also do the cream based and its terrible. I agree because you can't can or jar real carbonara sauce. There is only 3 essential ingredients,. The meat Bacon, Pancetta or guanciale.. The cheese Parmesan and Pecorino Romano and the egg yolk. The yolk is cooked by warm pasta and just a little bit of pasta water off heat . To make it the real way is kind of expensive though because last time I actually found real guanciale it was $20 a lb and Parmigiano Reggiano is $18 per lb. Bacon and Romano are the cheaper alternative but still its about $10 to feed a family of 4. Closer to $30 to do it with authentic ingredients and a side of garlic bread.

I completely agree with your philosophy on reviewing places. Especially when it comes to service, you never know if someone is having a bad day. Servers are people too, all complaining does is make someone lose a job they need. There's a Vietnamese place I went to once that had the most mid pho I'd ever tasted and I couldn't bring myself to review it poorly seeing the sweet old lady running the place. People are so harsh in reviews at times, it's like they forget they could just as easy be in their position too.

I dont think its that bad if he finish it quick. The 2nd tray indicates that also that the restaurant isnt bad but that they could do better like he said. They were trying but not enough. I bet that red pasta is just canned sauce & cheap pasta cooked to make a quick profit. Some restaurants either have low expectation or their workers are just lazy or they're deeply in debt & trying to make some business regardless of cutting corners. For a Korean restaurant though that charge that much that is a total rip-off & highly unethical. They shouldnt be in business cooking suspect foods like that & over charging customers.

You should leave the rating for the best meal (4 in this case) but also point out in the description that the other dish wasnt good this time, but maybe it was an off shot on that dish. This way they get a 4 star review, but people reading your review will know not to order the tomato based dish, and the restaurant will also know which one to improve on, without getting a bad score.
