That mint burger is just so confusing, at first I thought it'd be like a dessert burger with sweet buns, chocolate patty, and white chocolate but they put an actual meat patty and cheese with ONIONS and MINT sauce?! They could have actually made a decent dessert burger than whatever the hell that thing was 🤦. As someone who's had a long term experience with Korean food, I find that MOST, not all, MOST Korean "Americanised" food is way too sweet. Not just that but also korean sweet and spicy dishes are almost candy sweet to me. A lot of their food lacks saltiness imo. I've literally eaten pizza at a restaurant in Korea and I thought I was eating a literal cookie with cheese on top 😭

So they like sweet and spicy primarily. I thought they liked a mingling of different flavors (ie, sweet, hot, salty, sour). Makes me wonder how did. Korean food develop into spicy and sweet dishes primarily. In America, Korean restaurants that I have been to it's mild spicy, with salty, with a little bit of sugar.

well i will say this, MAINSTREAM, cheap american food (like desserts you can get at grocery stores & what not) are typically pretty sweet. But interestingly enough almost everyone I talk to/know very obviously hates overly sweet foods and desserts, so it's confusing as to why so much of it is sold. there are tons of desserts sold at stores and in shops that are much more balanced which are the ones I usually get, and those are the ones I tend to see most people getting anyways lol

​@@inter_lxde I'm not Korean but as far as I know, every Halloween Korean and Japanese are gonna make up and join a kind of parade or maybe some parties hold in some bars. I know it sounds weird since Halloween is mainly about letting kids to have fun. But in Asia every "western holiday" can be used as an "excuse" for people to have fun, since people in Korea and Japan they suffer a lot at their daily life: work overtime day by day without extra paying, work 6 days a week regularly, mortgage which could last for 30 or more years...people just need an "excuse" to let something out. Also because of the pandemic, this year's Halloween event in Korea seems to be the first public event in past three years, which definitely leads to a peak of attendance.

In general I notice that new/trending Korean food just had sugar added to everything. Corndog-suger on top burgers-sweet sauce bulgogi-sweet marinade Jajangmyeon-sweet black sauce most popular Korean fried chicken type Yangnyeom chicken-sweet sauce like its there version of adding MSG to everything just instead they add hella sugar
