I TRIED A VEGAN KOREAN BRAND MADE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN | MARY&MAY REVIEW

Hey guys! For todays video, I wanted to share my experiences with the korean skincare brand, Mary&May. This brand was new to me and I was excited to start testing them because Mary&May is known to use formulations that utilize active ingredients while also adding ingredients that are soothing and beneficial to sensitive skin.
Throughout 2023, I've been on a journey to find products that my skin loves. I have oily/combination skin that's also sensitive and acne prone. I've been dealing with hormonal and adult acne this year and I've been really into asian skincare and trying to find formulas that target troubled skin like mine!

Hey! Not a hate comment i just want to let you know, Mary and Mary is not 100% cruelty-free or vegan, as its products are sold where animal testing is required by law (China) and they have products that contains animal derived so it also cannot be considered vegan or cruelty-free. They also don't have the Leaping Bunny certification. I'm telling you this cuz when i saw your title i wanted to know more and try this brand cuz i've been searching for months for kbeauty products that are vegan and cruelty free and can't find anything. But, when i made my research i find out that it is not cruelty free and vegan and was really disapointed. I know people won't take the time to search and will think it is vegan and cruelty free when it's not. 😊

Hi Cynthia! Thank you for sharing that info with me! I read that China stopped requiring pre- and post-market animal testing but it's not illegal if they still want to unfortunately. But I also read that cosmetic companies are only required if it's sold in a physical store. I say that because I believe Mary&May is not in any physical stores in China and only available online for their country! And I've gotten confirmation from the brand that they prohibit animal testing and all of the ingredients are EWG green grade! You're right though, there is no Leaping Bunny certification as of now, so I think the extra research and precautions you're taking is very responsible! 🙌🏼 Because it's unclear to me and I want to do more research, I edited the title to reflect that. Just want to mention that the eye cream contains fragrance, and it is pretty strong! It's not a subtle or fruity smell, it smells like strong perfume. I tried using the eye cream, loved the texture, but the scent was so overpowering for me so I had to take it off my skin. So if you're turned off by fragrance, just be cautious with the eye cream! ☺

@@ByKristinaStudio Weird! The one I had came as a free gift as part of a 2-pack of the blackberry complex serum. It’s definitely the same eye cream. But mine really does smell overpowering and so strong, so I think you would have noticed it if yours had it too. Maybe the one I have came from a faulty batch where they added too much fragrance? That could be the case. Anyways thanks for responding! 🥰
