This is the best food video in a long time. I don't know too much about Indonesia but I'm willing to try different foods

I think I would like Gado Gado, as I love peanut butter and peanut sauces. Also the rendang looked really good too. Thanks for the awesome video with so much good food.

It's really so nice just to get so many vegetables on one plate.

Indonesia is definitely one of the best places (outside Bali of course) for good food and a low price.

04:06 that is called Lotek in Central Java, Yogyakarta, Bali... Gado gado is a combined vegetables but not really mixed, and the peanut sauce in Gado-gado is served as the topping. In Lotek, the vegetables & the peanut sauce is mixed directly.

I’ve had lotek as well and love it but there are some differences between what I had and lotek in terms of the ingredients in the salad snd the peanut sauce but you’re right she actually asked if I wanted it mixed it in the dish instead of on top, which I should have indicated, I said yes because it’s easier to eat.

@@ayngelina have fun on your journey in Indonesia; by the way, did you try martabak yet...? In west java when people said martabak meaning martabak manis .This is a sweet pancakes with variaties of filling. An example is a filling with butter, chopped peanuts, chocolate sprinkles, and condensed milk. In Central Java & Yogyakarta, martabak manis called Terang Bulan (Moonlight); on the other hand, Martabak means Martabak Telur (Egg Martabak) with a filling of beaten eggs, ground beef, chopped green onions, onions, garlic, & seasoning...Martabak Telur (Egg Martabak) & Martabak Manis are popular food that many foreign tourists want to try when they visit Java & Bali. Many images & videos about these foods on the internet. 🙂

I have had it! I have a video from Payakumbuh Sumatra eating martabak telur, which is my favourite as I don't love sweets. I also showed martabak manis in a Kuala Lumpur video and people there got mad that I called it that 🤣 I guess in Malaysia they have a different name.

@@ayngelina not only about the food names.... Malay and Indonesian languages have many same vocabularies (words) but have different meaning. People who just learn Indonesian language and assume they can understand when communicate with Malay (or conversely); they often get misunderstanding...😄

Hello Ayngelina, wow you went from Padang to Semarang? Food looks "enak sekali".
@ayngelina Жыл бұрын
The last couple videos where my hair is black are actually videos I shot when I first arrived in Indonesia over a year ago. I shot a bunch from Padang and no one was interested so I kept them thinking one day I would air them and the holidays seemed like the right time. I posted it on the community posts to let people know but I know not everyone sees that.
