501 & 514 are the models that suit you the best overall. The straighter fit gives your legs a better silhouette then those pairs that have a closer cut like 511, 512, 510.

I don't buy Levi's anymore because they added stretch to the 514 and they also changed the cut of the 514. I have several old pairs, all 100 percent cotton with the "slim straight" tag sewn on inside of back waistband, and tags all say "made in Mexico", Levi's stopped making these so I stopped buying their garbage jeans. When these have to be retired I suppose I'll buy Lee

I picked up Made in Japan 511s at a Levi’s store in Scottsdale, Arizona. My second pair, with an all black leather label. Interestingly, the Label on my new jeans states, “Made in Japan” vs my first, which states “Made and Crafted.” Dark Navy selvedge, wearing them now. Love them!

Few of the Vintage line and MC are Made in Japan, but not all of them, other are made in Turkey even from Vintage line.

@@head_honcho192 I’m a marketer, your assumption is a good one. In my opinion, the “Made in Japan,” Levi jeans I own are definitely much better quality than those produced in India, Turkey, China or Timbuktu. It’s too bad Levi’s decided decades ago to close down its manufacturing in the United States. American made 501 Jeans, which I wore in the late 80s and early 90s, were hands down much better than what is available today.

If we talk about Straight fit 501 has the highest rise, if you would like it higher Made and Crafted from my experience are a bit more
