I tried an ECLIPSE ONLY Dine Run and it was WORSE than I thought

Dine is my least favorite map BY FAR after this run, lol.
This was easily the most difficult of the eclipse only moon runs I've done so far, and to be honest I'm not sure how much better I could get at it right now at my current skill level without getting lucky. I could maybe try and become a Dine specialist in order to perform better here, but honestly the play might just be to NOT play Dine when it's eclipsed, and pray that it's not eclipsed during your challenge runs.
I will say though that Dine has my favorite spawn chance distribution out of all the moons. It's interesting how the spawns are pretty much even across the board, and that the indoor power level is high enough to where you could potentially see every spawnable monster in there. It just becomes a problem when you're the only one exploring the moon.
I'd have a lot more fun tackling this moon with a friend or as a group, but for solo it's super hard I feel. Maybe I just got unlucky with giant spawns, but I struggled versus the more common worm spawn too. There's for sure room for otuplay but it's such a high intensity experience that actually doing it can be kinda difficult.
I DID make it back to the ship enough times to meet a few quotas though, so for that I'm grateful. Wouldn't be much of a video if I couldn't at least survive a few days. Maybe I'll try this again, but it's most likely that I won't, lol.
Anyway, only have one more moon left in this series, so I'm excited to get to that one! I'm way more comfortable on Titan than I am on Rend and Dine so it's almost like I'll be returning home for the last video. That said, Titan isn't the easiest planet while eclipsed, mostly because of the requirement to climb the staircase in order to get to the entrance, but I'm hoping I can survive enough there to put on somewhat of a show. But we'll find out when we get there.

Secon- 🔫🔫💀💀 Lethal company storytime for those who are here: One time, I went into the fire exit and saw a turret and went right back out, and told my friend that I'd go in there for a second to look for scrap and if I wasn't back in 20 seconds, I was dead. I came back a little later with a bolt, and told him DO NOT GO IN THERE, the turret was blasting at me when I exited. He went in right after, without listening, and never returned... This is making Dine look incredibly brutal goddamn, I was under the impression it's basically rend but turret hell but yeah.. also more brutal elsewhere. I generally prefer Giants to sand worms, lot more ways to counter em' esp. as a team, which with turrets I don't think I'd ever want to go to dine w/o someone on Terminal. Would definitely like to get comfortable with dine if Rend is eclipsed. Outside seems some ways better some ways worse, Rend can somewhat easily get between Ship, fire exit and main whereas for dine the fire exit is kinda free to the ship but ages away from main? I'd like to see Dine become a strong contender for best paid moons just to see how people navigate the outside more, since I guess technically you can bait the worms to the edge of the map and teleport away like with giants (how useful I don't know) Loving the daily uploads, always nice to sit down for a while and watch these, hope you aren't overworking yourself if you're going to do daily lethal plus variety games though.

I can 100% agree that Dine is far worse than Rend. The turret spawns are horrific and there is 4 landmines in every room. Hell, I once got killed by a turret inside a bookshelf. Also, turrets can not shoot you if you duck down behind the kitchen table. They will target you but won't shoot

I was surprised to find out many people don't like dine, my crew used to exclusively run it all the time because we didn't like the masked enemy that spawned on rend/titan. We did break out quota record funny enough.

The no Masked thing is also why I liked Dine at first! But now I dislike turrets/landmines/Dine’s max indoor power level more than I dislike the Masked so Rend wins. For group play it doesn’t matter to me, I’ll play any map. But for solo I think I still like Titan the best of the paid moons. We’ll see if that changes in my next eclipse only run though!

I appreciate your concern! I’m not entirely sure if double uploading is good for youtube growth tbh, as I’ve seen conflicting information about the effectiveness of multiple uploads and also diversifying niches on a single channel. Best way to clear that up though is to see for myself, and I’m excited to see what I can do 😬 I actually like working 24/7 so long as it makes sense, and I actually get a lot more rest doing what I do now compared to any 9-5 schedule I ever had. Mostly because when I was working a 9-5 I was ALSO working on things that would get me out of it. The difference now is that I’m only doing “the thing to get me out of it” with no 9-5 so it feels like I have all the stamina in the world right now to do what I need and want to do 🙏

after spending a bunch of time on Vow I don’t think it’s as hard as Dine or Titan. It’s just not worth going there because of how little scrap actually spawns there. The giants also aren’t so bad so long as you’re not coming from the fire exit

Regarding your first point at the beginning of the video, be careful that you don’t fall into the trap of feeling “forced” to double up. Try to make sure you are still wanting to make the extra content. Easy way to get burnt out if you stretch yourself too thin too often.

You might know this already, but you can schedule videos! I'm just at the part where you mentioned uploading videos at 6am - you can still do that, but you can set for the video to be unprivated at a set time. Makes it easier to be consistent, plus you can ensure KZbin will have finished processing the video to high res before anyone sees it

I do schedule videos! Just a few hours in advance at most, given my upload pace 😂 I used to be awake to upload at 6am because that’s when I would finish editing/rendering/uploading a video after working at the day job and then filming after. I haven’t had to do that since I left :) Uploading once a day sounds crazier than it feels tbh. Uploading one video a day kinda just feels like I have a day job where my work for the day is due by my target upload time. If I know something is coming up though then I’ll try to get my video ready the day before, but I also don’t want to create a crazy backlog because I think it’s more fun to share things sooner rather than later 😬

8:48 As cozy as the fireplace rooms are, I also hate em cause there's a chance to mistake the crackling for a coilhead Honestly though, I think Rend and Dine's outside maps are probably the two worst in the game to deal with late because of how little cover there seems to be on top of the low visibility - Offense and Assurance have very little cover around the ship too but their visibility is fine and giants aren't particularly common on em (I've gotten unlucky on Offense but got back to the ship okay, just burned a shit-ton of daylight in the process) Titan... at least it's a quick trip through the absolute warzone right outside the ship? Stuff can get up to the entrances via the secondary staircase but from what I know, you've usually gotta really piss off the dogs to pull em up there

I bowled one handed growing up, but then I switched to two handed ~12 years ago and haven’t looked back! I self-taught myself from watching Jason Belmonte and Osku Palermaa (who were the only notable two handed bowlers at the time), and analyzing my own recordings, and brought my average up from ~130ish to ~197 while I was active in youth tournaments. I only just got back into league bowling ~6 months ago and I’m teetering around a 200 average at the moment. Currently working on upping my ball speed, which was at ~15mph when I started up again and is now at ~16.7mph today. Hoping to get to the 18mph strike ball by the end of the year! 🫡 I’ve also been practicing my one handed bowling again just because it’s fun to change things up when I’m not in league lol. But since I don’t have the thumbholes I’m practicing the Tom Daugherty style, which is one I haven’t touched ever in my whole life, so it’s been kinda fun

Probably projected growth. If Sheff's gaining 1k subs per week, that's a pretty good expected growth to make liveable content levels. Plus watch time is theb ig ones an these videos get big watch time, compared to shorter more edited videos

I actually get ~40k views per day, which comes out to ~1 million views per month, with a higher than average RPM for gaming channels! I plan on making a video covering this since the results are wayyy better than I originally anticipated, and if I knew these numbers were possible at this level of viewership I would have tried a lot harder at youtube a LOT sooner. And I’d love if more people took the time to learn content creation through youtube for themselves
