i make metro systems in my minecraft builds, and they're heavily inspired by the vancouver skytrain, stations are medium size and minecarts work in the station and can conjoin together, the rail is either elevated or on ground, and stations are simple but complex

Yeah it is really fun to construct :D What I did was use the /fill and /clone commands for all the Boring parts e.g. tunnels I could copy and paste, and then build the stations off blueprints I'd made, that's the fun part Out of interest what course do ya do for uni? It sounds super interesting haha!

@@AlwaysAlexYT To be honest, I haven't played minecraft for past 9 years so I would need to re-learn everything lol I plan to do it one day anyway but it's not today :D The course is called project management and my group choose to build a metro as our project so as team's engineer I have to do schemes of how metro would look like and how it would function (I am still learning). The course can get pretty exhausting because it requires to analyze and calculate every aspect of the project a lot.

OMG I love metro/tube/underground/subway-related Minecraft videos and have been searching for one (other than Flashteens massive subway system) for so long! I crave things like these to be in my Minecraft world but they are just too complex xD Anyway, I´m gonna try to build something for once because I´ve been fascinated by underground travelling and transport since my visit in London 2 years ago. As someone who lives in NYC, I have some tips for u. Since ur building the tracks urself with anvils, instead of doing double tracks for both ways, quadruple track it so if u need you can add express tracks. If u want I can explain in more detail

Wow, i have to say i am very impressed with what you've built already. I am trying to make a suburban train system based on Madrid's Cercanías system in my survival world (although with less lines and smaller, metro-like stations, but it is fully functional with minecarts) and it really is a big project. Even making a smaller mock version of what i am going to build in creative takes a couple hours, which makes me appreaciate the effort you put into this project a lot more. If you do get Java, you should definitely try out the Transit Railways mod. Not only does it add working trains, but also a bunch of other things like automatic doors that open when the train arrvies, escalators, travelvators, working train signals, and much more!

I think Transit Railways is better though, since it adds modern, metro trains instead o Immersive Railroading's older steam and diesel locomotives. It also adds a bunch of other transit-relate blocks and items like escalators.

Although Immersive Railroading is a cool mod, I'd use Tansit Raileays for what you are doing since it lets you automate the trains and adds a bunch of transit-related blocks and items like elevators and station signs.
