Love the content and Kudos to Mark to pronounce all the difficult Chinese words. Just one thing - the province Shaanxi is similar to Shanxi (two different provinces). For the one Xi'an is in, you place a third tone on Shaan. Otherwise it's a different province, with the first tone (which Mark used). It just so happens that there's another province name that is only different by the tone on the first syllable. You should totally go visit the other province, too.

@evelynma92872 ай бұрын
I’m positive it’s not 槐花. The flower is a white flower. The 麦饭 he had is more likely to be celery leaf or some other green leafy vegetable. And it’s the stir fried version, so no sauce needed.

Chinese food is found all over the world and has influenced cooking styles as well as techniques in several other countries. I live in Scandinavia, where there have been Chinese restaurants since the 1940s. Everyone in my country, Sweden, has grown up with Chinese food. However, most Chinese restaurants in the West have very similar menus which don't reflect the wide diversity of Chinese cuisine. I hope this will change in the future as all of China has amazing food. Just like Italian food is much more than pizza and pasta and Swedish food goes beyond Swedish meatballs, Chinese food is much more than what people in many other countries know as 'Chinese food'. We should all be proud of our own cultural heritage and we should also be willing to get to know the cultures of other nations.

You do the best food videos since forever ago! I miss your "Mark Weins's lean back when tasting delicious foods from around the world!" All other channels copy you; including Mythical Kitchen. You should collab with them... (you can pitch) let's see if they can create a dish as awesome as one of your travels. They like to do two teams, and you be the judge. You also should do a collab with Uncle Rodger. I like your style better, but those guys are good too. He has a mall restaurant in Malaysia...
