Brillant! I'm going to try it!

Congratulations! Neat recipe, how did the seasoning on your wok hold up to the acidity of the cola?
@KevinAllOver2 жыл бұрын
It held up just fine. Woks are really easy to get a good seasoning on, so I never have any issues.

Nice cooking! How spicy ended this up to be on a scale from 1 to 10 let’s say. That phosphoric acid in coke is a great tenderizer I guess. Makes coke a good rust converter as well. Edit: Congratulations 🍾!

This was probably an 8 out of 10, but feel free to use milder or fewer chilies.

@@KevinAllOver you bet. I loose my will to live at about a 6 of 10. 😁

Great vid! I went through a 'loose meat' (aka made-rite) sandwich phase several years ago and some say the meat is better when braised with, yep.. half a can of Coke. And i agree. Seems odd but it tastes delicious. Midwest umami!

First time I'm hearing of loose meat. Is it like a sloppy joe? If so I could see that working with a sticky Coke gravy.

@@KevinAllOver no tomato, still a little dry... ground beef, alliums. The Coke gets evaporated off, and the (ground) beef falls away from the bun a little perhaps, maybe that's why you get a fork too. It's very Illinois or Iowa. Get's 'mopped', mustard onion pickle. Simple and um... maybe punching over its weight. Tots and ketchup are 'apropos".

I love pork

Me too. When I make stewed beef, I also put in a strip of pork belly for the fattyness and the taste.
