This girl knows nothing about coffee. The grind you get from different brands are not supposed to be compared. Anyone who's into coffee knows it has to be ground just before brewing and then needs to be dialed in. You cant just take pre ground coffee and compare. It also looks like she's drinking stale coffee which she keeps for special occasions.

This is the most funny, pretentious and uninformed coffee review I have ever come across. The Background Research is poor. First of all you choose the grind according to your equipment. You never compare the grinds. She has used different grinds on one machine and that is the worst way to brew coffee. You might get channeled/clogged/unextracted and inconsistent shots if you vary your grind size. She has just mugged up some words from the coffee glossary without knowing the relevance and the application of it. I am getting riled up everytime she uses the word *undertones*. Considering her perplexing and poor brewing technique, I really don't think much of the undertones she is getting. She is just reading the packet out and then claiming to have extracted those notes out. Also no coffee enthusiast would buy stale coffee from Sbucks. Their coffee is atleast 3-4 months old before it gets to your shelf whereas Blue Tokai/ any other roastery gets it shipped to you within a week of roasting. A coffee which gets to you that late is stale coffee and can never be as good. Also Robusta can be great at times if curated carefully. At times It can match upto complexity, depth and flavour of Arabica coffee. Like wise Arabica can taste like mud, earth and burnt rubber if not curated with proper technique. Although Arabica has greater capabilities, it's not easy a generalization as it sounds here.

Hey! welcome to your coffee journey. Just wanted to say that I appreciate your zeal for learning about coffee. But the way you're going about it is all wrong. You cannot judge the coffee by the pre-ground stuff you buy. Usually coffee needs to be ground by you, yourself. So ... Like since you can afford to buy so many packets of coffee, maybe invest in a grinder. But please don't judge on the basis of grind. Especially when you are judging the post-soaked coffee. Also I highly recommend trying other brewing methods. Really recommend it. The Morphy richards machine you are using is notorious for bad extraction. All in all, welcome to the community. There's a lot to learn and enjoy. Hope you enjoy your stay ^_^

The Silver Oak Coffee would have been "bitter" because it was under-extracted when compared to the second one from Starbucks, to be true it should be "sour" rather than bitter because of being under-extracted.... So can u tell me how should I start my coffe journey with some espresso coffee
@raunakbhagwane12593 жыл бұрын
@@ayushmaansatyam6911 Espresso Coffee is something you get in cafes which they make it in a special Espresso Machine . You can only replicate that type of espresso only by using Espresso Machines which are very expensive in India ( Ranging anywhere from Rs 23k to even 10 Lakh ) What you can do is you can start with "Channi Style Coffee" , it is basically using normal tea strainer to strain out coffee grounds and get a freshly brewed black coffee, which is heart warming. I started with French Press method and now I use Aeropress and Pour Over methods to brew my specialty coffee. There are multiple tutorials on how to brew coffee without special equipment . You should visit Blue Tokai's website , they have explained everything in detail about Coffee Beans, and how to brew it using various methods . Remember, black coffee without milk and sugar will taste bitter, you may not like it initially, but once you start experimenting with your brewing methods, twitching brewing recipes and even trying different roast profiles of coffee , you will definitely start liking the taste and also recognize the different undertones as mentioned on the coffee packet as you gain experience .

@@ayushmaansatyam6911 Don't just. As Raunak mentioned, it'll be an expensive endeavor. Not only that, espresso is a complex brewing method. The devil is in the details and maintaining such machines isn't easy too. You can either start with Channi or if you're lazy like me but want a good cup of coffee, go for French Press and since the grounds are coarse, you can get away with a cheap grinder too saving money in the process. And if you don't like coffee, at least the losses won't be huge. To me coffee brewing is like using Linux as your main OS, you first get your feet wet (like using Ubuntu or any other popular distro) and then go for customizable options (like Arch or Gentoo Linux).

@avinsharma62594 жыл бұрын
Hey just a friendly suggestion! To know about coffee tasting for beginners I recommend you see the video of James Hoffman(world barista champion). And also If you wanted to try out the espresso brewing method for tasting, you should use a true espresso shot to taste because that's what will have the overall all the characteristic of the beans. The espresso you are tasting has no Crema(the golden emulsion on top) therefore you are missing on very important profiles of the bean. I know it's really difficult to pull a good espresso shot(you almost require a true machine what you see in cafes). The machine you used isn't totally ideal to give you the best tasting experience. It's a myth that coffee IS supposed to be bitter. The espresso should be smooth and full bodied. The overall thing is if ANY method of coffee tastes bitter then that means it hasn't been brewed correctly. My suggestion if you want to taste coffee at home, one of the most feasable method would be 'Pour over'(also regarded as best method to taste coffee flavours). Sorry for being too nerdy about coffee I just wanted to give you MY perspective towards it. But things apart, you are doing really great job!!! Amazing video loved you spirit 😄👍

I had that when I was a novice..then realised how ineffective it is. Anyways, to guide u further is u r really interested in coffee- 1) Always use freshly roasted (min 7 days ..max 25 days old) and grind fresh. 2) Use 100% Arabica beans. It can be medium, dark roast as per ur preference. 3) When using a proper pressure espresso machine, then try to dial the machine with grind size, Dosage and shot timing. This is experimenting. Loads of practice needed. For milk stretching, it's all together new concept and story.

Really, is it that bad? I was planning to buy it myself
@hilly_billy95314 жыл бұрын
@@shrutikapathak6092 it is if you want to make an espresso. Espresso shots are pulled at a certain high pressure (approx 9 bar) and with that pressure consistency you get beautiful espresso with crema on the top. But this Morphy Richard's shit has no proper pressure gauge so what it ends up making is some weird, little concentrated drip coffee mixture. It much much better to buy a simple say a Phillips drip coffee maker if you want to make filter coffee. But if you are willing to put some effort and really want to start exploring coffee world buy something with more control say a v60 or a chemex. Experiment with that. But seriously this 'espresso machine' is just going to give you concentrated filter coffee.

Struggling to find a good espresso machine... Need suggestions...

If you're Ok with a manual lever-based machine, the Flair Espresso setups off of Benki Brewing is a great choice. Can pair with a good grinder like a 1Zpresso JX Pro for a complete starter kit. But I don't know what your requirement is. So this is just a cookie cutter recommendation

I’ve ordered Blue Tokai Vienna Roast beans for my French Press. I’ll comment the flavour and the texture of the coffee once it’s delivered.

@@Virtusoo It’s best when it’s french pressed. You can get a good quality French press at the price of 1500 on Amazon. I would really suggest you to try it. If you have any questions regarding Brewing process I’ll happily answer everything.
