Wow, this video just made me feel like a freak lol. Granted, I have never taken a flight over 6 hours long as I’ve never left North America….but whenever I did my San Francisco to New York/Boston run, I would just stare out the window the entire time and sip on ginger ale or cranberry/apple cocktail. No TV, no sleep, just destressing and watching the world pass below. Or if it’s an overnight flight and you’re lucky, you get to chase the sunset, sunrise, or both! To me, it’s so rare to have time to do that while on the ground, I cherish that quiet time anytime I’m on a plane. The hum of the engines also helps me let everything in my head go just for those precious few hours.

I don't play games, watch movies, or sleep on planes either. I just listen to music and look out the window (always need a window seat). One time I was on a 15 hour flight and my seat wouldn't recline, and the couple next to me was sleeping, so I was stuck up against the window sitting upright without peeing for 15 hours. It was tough. But being stuck in that middle seat for an 18 hour flight? Brutal.
