On the last several Challenge Accepted videos I've noticed there's quite a lot of comments from people about the video being too short and that they miss the longer videos. I still very much enjoy watching these videos and appreciate the amount of time, money and effort it took to get these made. However, I do agree that the videos aren't as impactful as they used to be and that it often feels a bit lacking in depth and substance. I'm sure it's been a conscious decision from Michelle and the team to cut the videos short and I'm honestly curious to why that's the case. I'll gladly keep watching these but I would certainly love it if they'd go back to a longer and more in depth format.

there were some aspects of this video, along with the latest ones, that just really made me miss the old format. Michelle has always been a positive person but she always knew when to be serious, be attentive, and actually think of what would happen if the scenario was real. this video threw me off from how jokey she was the entire time, the rushed/choppy feel of it overall, and the lack of substance of what actually happens in the TRAINING to become a flight attendant. we didn’t see any actual training efforts, just simulations she was seemingly thrown in. been a long supporter of hers and this series but feeling further away than ever from where she started this series at

Michelle, I really encourage you to consider a disclaimer with this video. Flight attendant training academies are a financial grift. Absolutely no person wishing to be an FA should ever PAY for their training. Any airline hiring an FA candidate will train their employees, as we have different commands and security unique to each airline. These companies come with NO guarantee of a job after. Applying to become a flight attendant is more competitive than getting into Harvard. There are typically 100K applications for just a thousand or so spots every year. I LOVE your videos, and it is always fascinating to learn of the different unique jobs that keep us all going. Additionally, the pay, hours and expectations of begin a flight attendant or extraordinarily taxing. I realize you are focused on eye catching content, but the less pleasant side of careers is an important factor as well. It would do so many young flight attendants I've met well to truly understand teh commitment, financial and time sacrifice we all make. sincerely and with gratitude, a washed up old flight attendant.

Considering that you've been so tough and inspiring through all the previous challenges, it was quite surprising to see you panic and break into pure chaos at the sight of the fire during the intro. Because by this point in the episode series I don't think seeing an extinguisher or a fire was "a first". It would be amazing to see you work along side a vet tech at a high pace clinic for a week. It would help shed light on how important that role is in caring for pets. There is so much we do behind the scenes I think everyone should get to see. Having to jump from euthanasias to puppy visits to critical patients there is so much everyone could learn about the emotional toll it takes on us as well. Your videos are amazing and you would be the best person to do something like that!

Straight up Michelle your channel is amazing. It literally is allowing us people who may not necessarily know what the next step for us is in life. You are literally diving into different roles and professions to give us a glimpse into what people do on a daily basis. And even more so give us an opportunity to be like "you know what that actually seems very interesting" and someone out there might watch your video for the better and make that jump and change their lifestyle and profession just cause they got to see what it actually entails before going to school for 4 years and hating something. Much blessings to you, your family, and your amazingly growing channel. -ThehomieChrisfromTX

So did I! It took 4 interviews, and was a one in 700 shot(at the time), but I got in! I survived nearly half of my class being cut before graduation, and worked for 25 years. Although it was awesome for a long time, it had turned into a terrible job by then. Leaving the industry was a blessing.

Michelle, you are amazing!! I literally had anxiety just watching the plane crash sequence (lol) I have no idea how you have the guts to do this kind of thing but it's awesome! And I'll mention that I took a flight last month and the flight attendants were very helpful when I was having severe ear/sinus pain during the descent. I've always been sensitive on flight descents (having retracted eardrums for a few days, sometimes even weeks after a flight) and it was nice knowing that I had the help that I needed for the time being.

Agreed. I have too many passengers (grown-up men) playing with the safety stuff to annoy me, and it is not funny. Those jokes are really bad, spamming the call button too. People are bored on the plane and don’t realize we have a lot to do, and adding more work for us while we should already be getting to our jumpseats for takeoff is not a good way to pass time. I wish people would take our job more seriously because at the end of the day, if anything happens, they’ll be VERY glad we are trained to help them instead of just saying « sorry, i can’t help, but tea or coffee? ».

I was in between choosing nursing or flight attendant as career paths and thought that they were wildly different, but now I’m realizing that they actually are more similar than I think! Flight attendants are expected to keep up a positive attitude and calm demeanor for the people on board, all while being extensively trained and prepared to handle any medical or situational emergency-similar to what’s expected of a nurse on a fundamental level
@JimmyMcNulty02082 жыл бұрын
Flight attendants have extremely basic and limited medical training. They aren’t even relatively close to being EMT’s/paramedics or RN’s if that is what you are implying.

Everybody is asking for longer videos and as much as I would love them too, y’all gotta understand that sometimes these places don’t have multiple days for the sake of shooting a KZbin video. As the topics get bigger and cooler, I understand if the places only has a day open for filming which eventually leads to more “rushed” videos.

This was brilliant! Thank you for undergoing all of these amazing things allowing us inside places we normally would NEVER get to see or understand. I do have a friend that is a flight attendant in This case and because of her, I always, Always, ALWAYS bring a bag of candies or something small that can be shared by all. I give it to the purser to distribute to the cabin crew and thank her for everything she and her staff do to keep us safe. Just a token of my gratitude. I never expected perks to come with it. Free upgrades, first class dinners because they are always left over etc. one clue though always buy a bag of miniatures. You never know how many attendants there may be. There could be 5, there could be 20. You don’t want anyone slighted.

One thing that was mentioned in the video but that doesn’t get portray accurately is the AMOUNT OF INFORMATION. As a FA the sheer amount of information provided for you in 10-12 hour days for 2 weeks straight is insane. That’s without any hands on practice being counted

Michelle, your videos are really inspiring, and the multitude of skills you showcase that are generally considered „talent” show that anyone can really do anything if they actually try enough. I have been checking most of your videos, and was thinking of a few additional Challenges for you to (hopefully) accept. - Programming - Create something original. Whether it's a website, a mobile app or a PC program, make something original from scratch using any programming / scripting languages you want. - Languages - Learn any language outside your comfort zone at a basic conversational level, and test it in the native country. If you were to choose Romanian or Estonian, I would feel really proud of that :D - Dancing - Learn any kind of dance style (preferably with a partner, preferably with Garrett :D ) that you have never attempted before. I hope you get to see this comment :D Thank you for making such quality content, we are looking forward to more!
