When bidding you should always wait until the very end to set your max bid. When you set it earlier every time someone outbids the current price, your max bid overrides. This can quickly inflate the price when it could have been lower if the max bid was set at the last moments.

I tend to go for either untested or parts not working but i always make sure there complete and in really good condition because I've been lucky especially on ebay it's actually not bad to fix iphones and i get the lcd at trade price

Really good view into your world of reselling iPhones. I would assume you still feel like it is not worth doing a lot of phones off eBay unless you have a better/ clearer picture of what is going on with each phone, more detail. Also would it have been worth it if you had done BIN because $299 for that amount of work is worth it for some but not you because of your level of experience reselling phones. You can make that reselling 3 perfectly good phones that you don't have to repair, just clean them and list. Really good video with lots to think about afterwards, nice work.

Yeah auction method definitely was not the play. I think we would have been closer to $600-$700 profit with buy it now. Still probably not worth it for me, but an interesting business model for anyone who does not have wholesale suppliers or want to drive around to get facebook phones.

the only trick is that you won't get anything worthwhile unless you buy it immediately after its posted. so shop under the newly listed BIN section. anything sitting on the market is usually overpriced. the most profitable lots are gone within 2-3 minutes
