Banku and okra is my absolute favorite. Banku is fermented corn dough blended with cassava dough. Banku can make you sleepy.

Senegal originators but did they go to Nigeria no if they did then there would be chunky vegetables and fish like your brand of jollof. Ghanas jollof does not include all that .in the 80s when Ghanaians sojourned in Naiga that is when they set up food vending stalls selling waatkye jollof doughnuts etc and Ghana bread.all the bakers dissapeared to Nigeria until the infamous Ghana must go. Even i dont aggree that it was copied from wollof people because ghana had its brand of rice cooked in stew introduced by Asians during the colonial daysva biryiani without all the spices except curry powder which the expatriate Gold Coast cookery book called a jolly of rice. I am old enough to have witnessed it.
