Your hair is definitely type 4. People forget that there are other factors other than curl pattern that can make your hair look different like the texture, strand thickness, length, etc.

Type 4 is only about the curl size. You can have silkier type 4 hair is what people forget. Not all type 4 is 4c either.

It is actually ok to leave the deep conditioner for 35 - 60 mins lol. The instructions say (at least in spanish) that you leave it for 10 - 15 with a little bit of heat, or for 35 - 60 mins without heat 😁
