Hi I always watch your videos, I been doing CGM for nearly s year and I really wanna stick with it but I’ve noticed my hair is hugely thinner than before I started, it’s getting really bad, I remember seeing a video of yours a while ago saying ‘is the CGM making my hair fall out’ I wondered If it got better, I’m so close to giving up but I really don’t want to 😔 xxx

I love it, I’ve never damp styled cause my hair is so frizzy and also when I scrunch it causes frizz, but your hair turned out beautiful I’m literally gonna do it now xxx

Hi Swavy, You're fantastic and I love your videos, but it would be wonderful if people in the curly girl community didn't promote products with known carcinogens in them that are also bad for the environment and wildlife after it washes down the drain. The CurlTalk gel has PLASTIC in it, not to mention artificial fragrance that may also be carcinogenic. The ingredient "Acrylates/C10 30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer" is a petrochemical. That brand needs to clean up their act! I'm hoping we women can demand these corporations make healthier products for us, and not push us into cancer risk territory. Let's find beautifying products that are truly natural and not green-washed.

Courtney Ive been having terrible trouble with my scalp showing while doing the CGM because of how thin and fine my hair is. I had to choose between awesome curls but scalp showing or a frizzy mess and no scalp showing, denman styling was the only way to hide my scalp but it just left the curls/waves looking crap. I just tried this after watching your video and I'm absolutely over the moon with my hair! Thanks so much to you and India. This will be my hairstyle from now on 🤗

I love her a lot, and I don't follow the curly girl method, and neither does she. But a lot of people on this channel follow the cgm, so mell isn't the best. Mell uses sulfates and silicones, so Courtney wouldn't do a video. BUT I REALLY REALLY LOVE HER TOO!!
@aromarose41334 жыл бұрын
@ Keira Kate and Michelle Young she actually has a really interesting wavy tutorial with the denman brush on her cousins and it looks great on them! What sea salt spray do use? because I find the one that I have makes my hair feel sticky
@Lily_of_the_Forest4 жыл бұрын
Jennifer Zapienn I make mine at home. Dissolve 1/2 teaspoon epsom salt in 1 cup hot distilled water. Let cool. Pour into a spray bottle. Add 10 drops lavender essential oil for a nice scent. Spray generously all over. Scrunch well. Let dry. It dries stiff. Don’t panic. Scrunch well again until the stiffness is gone. Might try 1/4 teaspoon next time since it is quite drying. Only tried it with epsom salt so far. Can use Himalayan Sea Salt. Not regular salt.

It turned out great! Been doing Curly for over a year and Not Your Mothers original shampoo should be a staple for everyone. I like to use when I want my curls to last a long time, 3-day weekend trips to 5-6 day trips. It sets the curls better. Maui products are also a staple, no matter what products everyone reviews we all use Maui! Quantity depends on hair volume. I have shorter hair so never use the handfuls that long haired girls need. Use what YOU need. Even though I have my routine down, still watch new vids now + then.

I was always told to apply deep conditioners after shampooing. No rinse out conditioners between shampoo and deep conditioner because rinse out conditioners can leave oils and butters in your hair. Making the deep conditioner not penetrate as good into strands.

Wow that's a lot of moisture. My hair is high porosity wavy 2b-3a and if I used conditioner, masks and rinse with cold water I would have greasy stringy curls. It would be ok because each day I find my hair gets drier and drier but it is a terrible disappointment to have such lackluster curls on day 1/day 2 that it only happens occasionally. Hopefully the protein in the mask will help balance all that moisture.

Your hair turned out so pretty! So you used the protein/moisture treatment and rinsed it out immediately? Does it have time to work that way? I think I would do it more often if I knew it would benefit my hair even if I didn’t leave it on the usual 20-30 min. Thank you.

Love your videos and loved this one 🥰 . I have a question about the mask. How long did you keep it on the hair? I know that masks work well only if kept for at least 5 minutes on the hair, but curlies say between 15 and 30 mins. How much time do you keep it? I rarely use masks because I don't have time to keep it on.

nice! ever since i watched your damp style video...where you style the next day, i have been doing that ever since. i have similar waves to you and find my hair defines much more when i don't apply styling products to soaking hair. i was very frustrated with CGM bc of this until i saw your damp style video. i think soaking wet styling just leaves too much moisture and weighs the curls/waves down before they get a chance to really get set. this method worked great for you!

I love it! I think the main difference I see between her hair and yours after the same routine is that her haircut layers the top and back of her hair a _lot_ more, which makes it look way more layered and way more voluminous. Yours is mostly the same length, which is why, especially from the back, it looks flatter. Great video!
