Absolutely hating the thing you're knitting only to eventually try it on and realize you might've done something is a mood

lol I honestly feel like this is me with attempting to knit a sweater for the first time. Was supposed to have 94 stitches casted on, but I’m somehow at 104. I’m just hoping for the best as this is like my 10th time trying. I love oversized things so there is no going back lol.

Inspired by you younger, fearless girls! I just crocheted my first sweater at age 52. I just kept plowing forward no matter the mistakes I made, and it turned out really cool. Usually a perfectionist, which prevents me from starting at all. Forward!

i don't usually watch other crocheters/knitters crochet/knit while i crochet because it distracts me but i always feel comfortable watching you crochet/knit while i crochet i'm not sure why but i have a feeling it's partially bcs, in my mind, you're the "frogging queen" so whenever i frog i think "it's okay grace does it too and her work always ends up looking good" so yeah maybe that's why

it turned out great!! you keep making me want to try crocheting without a pattern, it seems freeing if somewhat stressful. i actually started crochet bc of you + watched this video while working on a crochet lace button up ! i hope your day is good and you find some stuff to wear with the sweater !

I feel so validated by this video. I also am a perfectionist with my knitting and people always act like I'm crazy when I rip stitches out. The most I ever frogged was on a gansey sweater for my brother. For context: gansey sweaters are knit in the round starting from the bottom, using 2.5mm needles and have very intricate patterns. This means it takes a VERY LONG TIME to knit them. When I got to the part where I had to start the arms... I realised I had messed up. I tore out almost the whole thing (the ribbing at the bottom was salvagable). This was hours and hours of work wasted and I totally don't regret it at all. The sweater looks amazing and I'm so proud.

Girl, this is stunning on you! And isn't that how it goes? When projects don't go as imagined, it can be frustrating. But you still killed it.
