They sell children's style chopsticks that are a good bet for beginners. They sell them at Korean grocery store, but you might find them at a large Asian grocery store. Sorry, but if you found the Bimbimyen noodles (blue packaging) too spicy you don't have a very high spice tolerance. Understandable since you are English (not a diss). I give you credit for noticing Korean noodles taste good even when very spicy.

There is nothing wrong with the packaging. You have to tear the bags at the top. Korean packaging is not the same as in the UK.
