This is the best vlog so far. I love Julia’s expression when Roman stated “ I do like the small ones too ( pierogi ). The movement of the pets, checking everything out. Comments from both of you were entertaining. You looked like you were having fun.

Now we want a copy of your mom's legendary dumpling recipe! Also, in your next episode, Roman should try cooking your mom's classic foods.

Very interesting, my family is polish, I m second generation , my parents came to the UK after Stalin changed sides during WW2 , they were from Wolyn, (now Ukraine , was Poland ), the dishes that you prepared my mum and grandmother made, the salad they called Russian Salad, the dumplings , pierogi, my grandmother used pigs lungs (lites) instead of regular meat , the leftovers she gave to the cat (kicia), the cabbage parcels called gołąbki , the ratio of meat to rice was more like 50 50, I don’t really cook this kind of food but my kids (31 years old) seek out restaurants in London that do

I don't even know how I got to this channel. You looked familiar to the people with the cats and dog. Then I realized once the cat was on the counter it was the same couple. I did not know you had another channel. Happy Trails from Florida

Loved this video. Then again, I love food, and being introduced to new ethnic dishes. Well done! I was totally salivating when you unveiled and dished up the cabbage rolls. Yum!

I love this! Very brave of you to put yourself out on KZbin with a recipe new to you. If you follow any food sites on IG, you will know how awful the criticism of every recipe is! (Mayonnaise is a federal offense!). Food snobs are the worst!

Ah I'm not worried about the criticism, we're the ones eating it anyway! 😅

LOVED the video! Very relaxing and fun. I enjoy your respective styles--sense of humor, not taking yourselves seriously, up for whatever challenge, chill, kind... Thank you! And as usual the four legged kids added a healthy pinch of entertainment!!

Good job! Does Roman like borscht? My family served it cold with a dollop of sour cream, cucumbers, and scallions. Later on I learned other families served it warm with potatoes. So it depended where your grandparents came from. ❤

Fantastic video Interesting to learn about Ukranian traditional dishes, inspiring The cabbage rolls looked delicious, I could smell the tomato sauce, literally 😊 Good idea putting layer of sauce on bottom first, I would have done the same, it stops rolls sticking to the bottom of the pan😊 Hilarious, the "poop" drink, laughed at that description, spot-on😂 and Roman 's "funky as hell" and " fermented sewer water" 😂 Julia "i sugared the f. up" and reply "I don't know what that is now" 😂 so funny Fascinating to watch an expert dumping maker, authentic Chinese way And that salad at the start, so colourful Wonderful, given me inspiration to try these dishes, I love cooking anyway, and to see something totally new is exciting to try😊 Thank you both for this fun, and inspiring, and educational video Yes, more please, perhaps some authentic Chinese dishes? I've never really tried, only the obvious stir-fry, that's quite basic Any Chinese dishes please Julia 😊 💜☀️🇬🇧

Gosh I want Chinese dumplings SOOOOO badly now. I live in Palm Springs CA and there’s just no good Chinese food here really (American Chinese). Every Chinese place is just not good. There’s Thai, but it’s so not the same. I want yummy pork and vegetable dumplings with ginger sauce. Ugh! I wish they’d open a decent place up. I tried to make them, but I am not good at dealing them at all. I need to practice. Maybe I can get it down. Any good recipes you like for Chinese style dumplings or ones that are close to your grandmother’s style ???

Onions are my nightmare. They taste, smell like body odor and make you cry when you cut them. They’re literally telling us to stay away, but no one listens.
