I love it when costumers/cosplayers make videos about the “smaller” or “less interesting” parts of their projects, seeing the work that went into these pieces makes me appreciate seeing the entire ensemble when it’s finished ✨

Seeing a breakdown of individual parts like this is quite interesting, i agree. As you say, it really gives perspective as to the work that goes into a piece as a whole. Plus seeing the more detailed step-by-step is really helpful if you're looking for your own inspiration and ideas for how to. Plus as a content creator having more content it always a win even if it means more editing

Ma'am never ever think these "small things" aren't good enough for a while video. I can see from comments before me you've definitely inspired some of us greatly. I myself have been in a long slump, many ways I'm not even par for you but man. I'm drawing again, crafting like I use to. So these videos please keep doing .

I like the wire wrapping a lot. I really like how you are breaking up the videos into an ongoing series. I think that's more fun for big projects than just one super rushed video. :) I look forward to more videos from this project in the future.

Honestly, I find it much more exciting when content creators take more time with their projects and ESPECIALLY when they split the videos into several parts! It feels like an exciting trilogy, more is added with each part and at the end you see the beautiful finished project. It also allows us as viewers to learn more about the way you create your projects and learn more about crafting in general, while at the same time being just as entertained as always ❤

this came out really great!! i think my most favorite part of your videos (and your vibe in general) is that you talk about how you feel like you're improving on whatever task you set out to do. its really nice to hear someone talk about growth and improvement instead of what they didn't like or JUST their frustrations. you do talk about what frustrates you but you contrast it with what you did better and what made you happy. its just so great to hear!

Ooh! When I was getting my super-useful art histrory'museum studies degree, I took an internship in a handmade jeweler's shop, and I'd say your next step to level up the gem game is to learn how to prong-set stones. Prong setting stones with wire wrapping is pretty straightforward, and you can set a whole stone with only one wire, once you learn the technique.

the set turned out gorgeous!!! I'm loving this arc of learning when to stop and not overexert yourself. giving yourself permission to not go all out every week, and breaking things down into smaller pieces. an incredibly healthy mindset to have as a craftsperson. More detail = more content!! It helps my brain slow down and enjoy it more tbh knowing what you're putting into the project and being able to feel the more specific ebbs and flows with you. It's more intimate in a way and that has pros and cons I'm sure but I personally welcome it. Sometimes my brain hurts trying to keep up with all the things you're doing and thinking about on a project. Not trying to keep up w your thought process, because I feel like you flow between big picture and details so seamlessly it's fun to watch but hard to keep up (haha), but I feel like I appreciate the meaning your abscribing as you flow through your process better this way. It might be surprising because I have ADHD but I like the more detailed work; it's definitely not boring.

Using stain glass solder beading or jewelry solder is actually much easier than people think. You just need a torch that gets up high enough and a safe place to play with fire. Design, cut, Flux, PYRO, and it comes out strong, if not strong and also beautiful.

First of all, these pieces are GORGEOUS. They really brought the outfit together, and I’m excited to see more installments of the series! With that being said, idk if they’ll be helpful, but I have a few tips (or maybe concerns?) While I haven’t ventured into circlets because nice wire is expensive and also scawwy, I have made quite a few rather detailed ear cuffs and other smaller pieces, and have tested most of these techniques out on those. TL;DR take everything I say with a grain of salt. For your wrapping, I’d recommend using a smaller (I usually use about 24ga) wire for your connecting points and taking extra care to make sure everything is crimped properly. I find that hair tends to get caught pretty badly/fairly often and It’s really hard to get the hair out. Avoiding points where your hair could get caught is extra important, I’ve found that you’re most likely to deform pieces when you’re trying to separate them from your hair. I’d also like to say that UV resin is a BITCH in heat/humidity. I’m not sure what brand you use, but all of the ones I’ve tried softened in the heat and just kinda deformed (especially thinner pieces) I’ve also found that heavily colered resin just, never cures on the inside. If you want opacity, mica powder definitely cures better than using liquid dye, you still really can’t get a good cure on anything remotely thick. I’ve had pieces implode even after curing both sides multiple times under my 40 watt uv lamp after a month or so of sitting around in slightly above room temp. Anything more than that + sun and humidity will likely cause it to do so. Instead of using mica powder in the whole piece, I’d either paint or spread a thin layer of colored resin on the back of a clear piece. Keep in mind if you’re a sweaty bitch like me that the surface of your skin will be more humid than the humidity of the actual weather. Also, as for gluing pieces on metal, I’ve found that bead fix works really well. They sell it at Michael’s and it’s similar to super glue, (it’s very thin) but I find it works better. Anyways, amazing work, it makes me want to finally get over my fears and actually make a circlet. I’ll have to try rub ‘n buff on some of my pieces too. Sounds really interesting. I’m hoping in might prevent stuff from rusting/tarnishing from sweat. ❤

Something that will help you when doing wire wrapping or weaving is use jewlers tools. It will keep your pieces from getting the ridge marks from your tools (like the needle nose pliers you were using). You can also tighten the absolute crap out of your 'joint' wires using two pliers, pulling them tight squarshing them flat, then trimming them.
