The PS5 PRO can't do 8k it's only been shown in sonys own tech demo so they have planted the seed in our minds it can. Input lag is nothing to worry about as long as your tv supports 120hz, ALLM and VRR. I have a Hisense and it supports all of those.

@@johannesdrechsler8585 that tv is more useful with the Pro because that’s where you can see the actual difference between that and the base. You won’t notice any delay if you use a mouse but imo that takes a large part of the experience away (haptics/adaptive triggers). For competitive gaming mouse would be an advantage though.

You should not use "Automatic" resolution but 1440p. Some monitors especially have much worse picture quality downscaling from 4K which would be what Automatic does. Less upscaling/downscaling here is better which is what 1440p output gives you on 1440p monitor. On my MSI MAG 271QPX there is is big difference with 1440p output looking better.

It does do something, if you have a nice 4k monitor then the 700 dollars ps5 pro is a no brainer, for just 200 dollars more you're getting a lot more. 1tb ssd and 45% faster Gpu that has PSSR too, the additional ssd alone is 100$ more expensive keep that in mind.

What kind of mouse & keyboard do you use? Does the PlayStation support any remote keyboards & mice? Could I just plug in my G303 usb as the dongle & buy a keyboard that has a dongle. Or does it use Bluetooth? You don’t have anything plugged in at the front which usually is better for latency than having it behind the console or a pc. The antenna isn’t very big. Having good signal does not mean you have a low latency.

I have both systems and there is a difference once you actually play the PS5 Pro especially with the enhanced games but honestly if you don't play the PS5 Pro it won't even matter to you at all. It's almost as if you was playing on your TV screen and you've been having a great time and someone decides to clean your screen off and now you're like oh wow it looks brighter and clear but you would have never noticed if they never cleaned off your TV because the gameplay is still that good. But is it worth $700 I don't think so but at least you have the latest and greatest and you get two terabytes of storage plus you get somewhat of a new design and Wi-Fi 7, plus the enhance games and any other games that will be enhanced that comes out. And I know I named some things to almost Justified the cost but I still don't think it's worth $700 I would have been perfectly fine with my PS5 but once you try the ps5 pro it's impossible to go back to the regular PS5 because you will notice the difference but only if you go from the PS5 Pro back to the regular PS5. Plus you're future proofing your console by upgrading.
