He is a district manager. I doubt he is the employee that is underpaid. But GameStop did just raise 5 billion dollars in cash so hopefully this is something that continues to build. If you want their employees to get paid more make sure you take your ass to your locale GameStop and shop. Not enough to to just talk about it.

I couldn't believe he let you record in the store. They normally show a fit kick you out and call the cops even if you agree to put up the camera. I remember a few years back I tried adding a guy I met up there on pokemon sun. Pulled out the 3ds and got told to put it up or leave. In a game store. I've stopped going there I'd rather go to game exchange now.

Dude these companies should have laws made on how hard they are allowed to screw customers.. like "okay it's valued at $650 and we can offer $158 in cash... " and pawn shops are even worse. They look up EVERYTHING ON EBAY. SO even if it's new and stores all sell for say $1000 they will look up used one on eBay cause to them even if it's new it's a pawn shop and people all pay used prices. So they find a ebay used price of say $600 compared to the $1000 new price then they go and offer 25-33% of the used price..so your new item worth $1000 you'll get maybe a offer of $150-$200 AND THATS IF THE ITEM IS SOMETHING THERE IS A DEMAND FOR. IF it's a odd item but still expensive. They will use the excuses of "O it's gonna take up space and take along time to sell" then your offer will drop even more.. you'll most likely get $100-$150 offer.. THEN LASTLY ON TOP OF ALL THE MONEY THEY SCREW FROM YOU OFF THE TOP. YOU PAWN IT SAY FOR $200 AND YOULL PAY LIKE A STUPID 30-80% INTEREST. SO THAT $200 WILL NOW COST $50-$120 IN FEES WHEN YOU GET IT BACK MAKING IT $250-$320 YOU GIVE THEM... AS I have said. Everything in this world is ironclad protection and rigged to benefit the billion dollar companies no matter how. People are living pay check to pay check scraping by purchasing everything that's already severely overpriced to make these companies stupid rich. However when the tables are turned and say we need to sell a item or trade it in. It's essentially one step above worthless or pennies you get back . And what happens the second you hand over the item? The cycle starts all over. They will put a sticker on it and a price tag of $850 with info stating it's brand new practically. All the info you gave them when trying to sell and trying to get maybe a additional $50 for as they lie and say used is used

I have had pretty good experiences with GS employees. Most of my bad experiences have been when they don't know what is going on. It has never been thr employees fault either. Mostly ignorance of store policies because management or corporate has not made it clear. This was a great vid Mr Tiny ❤

the tick he is looking for on the side of the slab (the one that the Gardevoir is missing) inst purposefully on the slab, its the part there the slab will frost up when you try to crack it to make it that you cant swab the card inside for a different/worse condition card without it being noticeable. the point not being there doesn't really mean anything, its basically a 50/50 shot to it being really visible when you get the slab, making it weird that it is one of the points that they will be looking at.

They make their money through high trade volumes. That's why they buy cards at below market rate (50%-70%) and sell them at slightly below market rate (95%). They don't want to hold onto the cards because it's too risky. Instead, they focus on earning from the buying and selling process. They prioritize trade volume. Of course, they would only offer 50-70%. Why would they buy cards from you for 80-90%? They need to make a profit. If they bought a card for 80-90% and tried to sell it for just 5-15% more, they wouldn't be able to cover operational costs such as store rent, worker wages, and other expenses.

Thanks for making an honest attempt to see how everyhthing worked out. A lto of people have a preconceived notion that they are going to get screwed because of GameStop's history. Most people dont know they have a COMPLETELY new management team and board of directors as of the last 4ish years. Their system that literally shows the scams of the card being traded in along side all the "tells" to look for in terms of fake or altered slabs was top notch. They're actually doing a more thorough examination of the cards that most LGSs I've been to. For an lgs, trade in is typically 80%, credit is typically 70%, cash is 50%

By the sounds of things they will be hesitant to take in graded cards with some older slabs and flips/labels. Interesting they wouldn't take in the newer Gardevoir ex due to a small slab design change. I have noticed PSA has changed a couple of small things with the plastic with the latest slabs. Manufacturing changes some small and some big have happened quite a few times over the years with the slabs looking at some of my older slabs. The Nasdaq sticker and mention of Nasdaq on the label was a thing at the start and before the Lighthouse label change. It is interesting that the guy mentioned that but was searching for it on the newer slabs. I am wondering if sister companies to Gamestop overseas like Eb games will start taking in graded cards and singles. I think Gamestop will need to properly train employee's for proper identification on older genuine PSA slabs and Flips/labels. PSA has had done a few changes to both over the years.

This is the only thing that can save GameStop forreal lol. Good on them for leaning into the collectibles since video games are mostly digital or streamed now days. But these things right here will ALWAYS have people walking in your door. carboard sells. Maybe not for a profit most of the time... lol. But it sells. Use it to gain traction and make a name in the TCG space. We need more people in the market. I'd LOVE to walk into a GameStop and see a wall of singles. They may not have great policies or really know what to do with things like this, but at least it's just another place you can go to and get packs and chop it up with people and see the cool cards that people gave away for pretty much free just BECAUSE.

The prices were better than I was expecting. I’d rather go to game stop than a pawn shop if quick cash is needed. On the expensive card. I would assume corporate has put a limit per card due to fakes so they make a ridiculous offer since it’s a new market or programmed incorrectly. They don’t want to get burnt for $1000’s that would cripple a stores bottom line since they already perform in the red. Smart business move, they’ll make good money and be able to help people in a bind. If I were you I would have asked for permission to leave business cards if customers decline offers since you have a rapport with the DM. Worst he can say is no. They ranged from 40-60% still lots of meat on the bone.

Read my other long comment on here but someone mentioned how bad these places and pawn shops were and its so damn true. Its literally a legal way to steal from customers.. Back in rhe day i was a sponsered paintballer.but as i got out of the sport and was looking to see what places offered the most. I took my completely custom 1 of 9 bob long intimidator that the arizona professional team "1 up kids" had made to match and used .thus the 1 of 9 . It had custom paint job, barrel kit, custom eyes, loader headlock feeder, pressur regulator , custom mother board and grips ,Custom ASA and custom bolt. This was 14 years ago now and the gun was still valued at over $1800+ for just the marker.. the pawn shop offered me $100 .. laws nees to be made as they screw everybody
