There are loads of inline skaters around the world on strava, its great to see where/what everyone is skating. Good stuff on the marathon, those switchbacks looked great fun. Cant beat a bit of lycra now and again to cut through the wind

Headwinds are from the devil lol. Excited to keep at it.

It's super impressive that you just decided to skate a marathon and did it in that time! It took me a few months of training to work up to a marathon and it left me so drained I couldn't walk :)

Thanks Boris! Believe me, after I uploaded the video I was BEAT 😴. Congrats on actually doing the marathon. 🥇

Wow impressive! Nice work! Makes me feel lazy. I need to get back out there and see if I can hit that distance again.

Never knew there were inline segment leaderboards on Strava, thought it was just for running and cycling. Congrats on the KOM. Edit: Apparently there's leaderboards for all sorts of sports, skiing, paddle boarding, etc. There's just no way to search for segments for an activity except for running and cycling.

Those swooping trails look so fun. Gets me antsy to go skate.

Alright I’m curious about some big wheels. Can you talk more about the categories of big wheel skates?

I’m still learning myself! But that’s a great idea, I’ll do some homework.

All big wheel setups are good for distance skating. I’ve put thousands of miles on urban skates.

Man you weren't kidding, that weather looks amazing! It looks like you've gotten comfortable on the biggins, freakin moving out! The camera affect at 2:19 was a cool subtle touch. Did you overcook that hairpin you went off? Lol. Great stuff Ben, the music was dope too, digging the trappy/electronica stuff!
@okthisisthelasttimeipromise2 жыл бұрын
Definitely getting more comfy on the bigguns. You notice everything-funny enough, that was just me pulling the camera back to me to turn off…I decided to try to incorporate it into the splice. 100% overcooked that hairpin. I spilled the tofu. 🚗 🍱 For a moment I thought i was really f***kkked. Glad you liked it. Love you.

100% honest, never kicked it. HOWEVER-I bonked it HARD on a pole this skate. Oops!
@BalaHormiga3 ай бұрын
52.2 mph as you said highly inaccurate. Even downhill skaters have difficulty reaching those speeds with stability especially on the short frames you were riding. With that said..excellent time overall! Very cool!
@brusdaar2 жыл бұрын
This is awesome! I've been wanting to level up to do this kind of distance. My lower back tends to get pretty tight after 5-6 miles. Hopefully one day I can hit 15 and then I think I'll be feeling pretty good after that. I'd love to see a video about training up for a marathon (with urban skates), if you have any opinions on that. I'd also recommend looking at the endless frames, I got a pair for my FR1's and the longer frame really helps my speed. Though I'm not as fast as you lol, I think my max is like 18+mph.
@okthisisthelasttimeipromise2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Josh! Definitely a great suggestion! Will be looking into doing a train-up video in the near future. 👍👍👍
